I really don’t know, as I don’t look at page numbers. Both “The Stand” and “Gone with The Wind” felt long. I’ve read other large books like “Deathly Hallows” in one sitting (sat up til gone 4 am with that one) because I was so enthralled 🙂
The Stand, uncut version, which has the worst ending of any book I’ve read btw. The Bible is not really a story, but it’s a longer book that I’ve read.
I debated about putting The Bible too but I haven’t read it straight through like I do fictional books. I tend to dip in to different parts of it (and not read it in the order it’s printed in).
@Thérèse its wonderful, I’m totally hooked. It starts in 54bc and runs to the “current day” (I think it was written in early 2000s, would need to check that tho). And there’s maps showing how London changed over the decades. It’s all based around the Thames. The characters are really likeable and it flows beautifully. Would defo recommend it!
Several series books Game of Throne, Outlander, Otherworld, Clan of Cave Bear, etc.- but they were not one single book. Probably War and Peace, or The Stand
Les Mis at 1800 pages.
Is it worth it? I really like Les Mis but so many pages.
I thought so, but others disagree. Personal preference.
Les Mis is my favourite book ever x
I think 900 pages ish. I can’t currently remember
Hmmmm. The Stand sure felt like it was 40yrs long. Let me check my shelves. I think it was one of the outlander books at 1500ish pages?
Count of Monte christo
It. Somewhere around 1k pages
And multiple Outlander books.
A woman of substance
Mine was all the games of thrones 1/5 book set
I have no idea. The question should be what’s the longest book you’ve read more than once! The first that comes to mind is War and Peace.
I have. But not by choice!?
Probably the LOTR. Not to be confused with trilogies+
ThEn Stand
So The Stand and It are both 1150 pages but they’re also tall. So they are much more dense than that.
But A Fiery Cross of the Outlander Series is 1443.
Kingdom of ash, 992 pages 😉
I got 1to 5 to read of them yet
11/22/63, I think.
Under the Dome at 1,074 pages
Gone with the Wind
IT by Stephen King over a thousand pages
War and Peace
Wow–I never met anyone who actually read that. You are my first WAR AND PEACE person. I am truly impressed!!!
It was required for AP English in high school.

The Barefoot Queen 656
Anne Rice’s Vampire Chronicles 🙂 Still more Prince Lestat stuff I need to read
War and Peace 1,225 pages
Stephen King’s It at 1153 pages. I’ve just started reading The Way of Kings by Brandon Sanderson, which is an intimidating 1252.
I’ve just discovered Sanderson and started Mistborn today. Its great so far.
I have read some Chinese novel called Romance of the three Kingdoms, which is nearly 2000 pages.
The Stand, uncut version, which has the worst ending of any book I’ve read btw. The Bible is not really a story, but it’s a longer book that I’ve read.

Summer queen by Joan D. Vinge and The Way of Kings by Brandon Sanderson.
War & Peace – twice. HS and college requirement. 1225 pages. Ugh…
War and Peace, which I enjoyed more than I thought I would.
Though Les Mis is a close second in terms of length, however, I loved this one far more than War and Peace.
I agree with War and Peace; I’ve not read Les Mis. I would add Anna Karenina and Dickens Bleak House
I’ve read Anna Karenina and Bleak House as well! I absolutely LOVE Bleak House, my favorite Dickens’ novel.
@Sarah Anna Karenina was good.
The Stand
Gone with the Wind
Lonesome Dove
The name of the wind
Wraeththu
I’d have to say IT
War & Peace – loved it!

LONDON a novel by Edward Rutherford… 1299 pages, I’m reading it currently
Is it good?
Yes. What @Thérèse just asked. It sounds interesting.
@Thérèse its wonderful, I’m totally hooked. It starts in 54bc and runs to the “current day” (I think it was written in early 2000s, would need to check that tho).
