But don’t go into it thinking it’ll be prose like American Gods. It’s a pretty straight forward interpretation of the myths; I found it a little juvenile, personally.

I LOVE the Sea of Trolls trilogy, by Nancy Farmer. Combines Celtic AND Norse Mythologies with early Christian Mysticism — in the time when Romans were still a force in the British Isles. Plus a dash of the Hero’s journey for good measure.
