The book is by Amy tan and it’s about 4 Chinese women and their American born adult daughters. Each daughter is struggling in a different way, and the mothers talk about their relationships with their own mothers and how that influenced their daughters. It is so good. SO good!

@Michelle its literally one of my favorite movies. The whole triumph of the human spirit thing really makes me happy. Andy, after all his years of undeserved suffering, finally gets to live a life of peace and happiness.

The Green Mile
Got to be honest, when I first saw this movie is confused me (but I was pretty young then). Now, I find it interesting.
The Martian… Book was awesome as all hell and I felt they did a pretty damn good job on the movie
I really liked the book even though it’s not my typical genre. Haven’t seen the movie yet.
I’m with you, not my typical genre, but I loved it. Only read it because it was suggested by a friend. You should check out the movie if you get a chance, they did an excellent job and Matt Damon really sells it

I’ve never been able to watch the movies, I’ve tried a few times. Loved the books, too much to enjoy the movies I think, I’ve read them all 3 or 4 times
@Michelle, I looked how tall they looked, and how the sets were just how I pictured them. And, they were fairly close to the books. ?

Safe Haven. ? The book and the movie are almost identical.
I’ve not read that one or seen the movie but I definitely love it when the movie matches the book in set, characters, and story line.?
It was the only one of Nicholas sparks that made me cry happy tears. And it has an amazing twist.

I liked “Islands in the Stream” with George C. Scott based on the posthumously-published Hemingway novel.

Have you read Red Queen by Victoria Aveyard? Not movie (yet, lol) but if you like hunger games you might like this series!
