My favorite author. I’m absolutely obsessed. I just finished The Great Divorce, a short allegory of heaven and hell. It’s a good entry point. The man is brilliant – taught classics at Oxford. I love his life—a life of the mind and soul.
Of course Narnia books are good! I also like the weight of glory and have mere Christianity on my TBR list. Currently reading Becoming Mrs. Lewis, a historical fiction story based on how he met Joy (his late wife).
I loooved Narnia as a kid, and loved his grown-up writing as a teen, especially The Great Divorce. I was not so impressed with the space trilogy: I hated the one with the caricaturish women, the third one I think. These days I think of him as quirky, sometimes cute, badly dated (racist, sexist), esoteric but relatable.
I adore C.S. Lewis! Not only do I love the Narnia books, I also love many of his other works — Surprised by Joy, The Screwtape Letters, collections of his essays, devotionals containing excerpts of his works… He really speaks to my heart and my spirit.
Love the Narnia books.
Surprised by Joy, a worthy read imho
❤️❤️
Chronicles of Narnia; Surprised by Joy; Screwtape Letters

Also Perelandra, Out of the Silent Planet and one other whose name escapes me. It’s a SF trilogy/allegory.
That Hideous Strength. Love this trilogy!

I’ve only read The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe. Wonderful book.
Fantastic!!
He wrote some very enjoyable books. I read The Narnia series multiple times when young.
You have to bear in mind everything he wrote was an allegory on his Christian beliefs

A Grief Observed (devastated when he lost his wife)?
I think he is my bother-in-law’s favorite author
