Vampire academy (its spin off series bloodlines as well), The mortal instruments, the infernal devices, lunar chronicles (cyborg, lunars, mutants, etc), the maze runner (no vamp or so but story is thrilling)
The Witching Hour by Anne Rice as well as Interview with a Vampire and the rest of the series by Anne Rice. However, the The Witching Hour, from The Mayfair Witch series, remains my absolute favorite. The Taltos Lasher will haunt part of my mind for the rest of my mortal days. I have read and re read this book countless times over the years and it remains one of the most hauntingly beautiful stories I have ever read. True, Lasher is not a Vampire but he is an immortal creature of darkness.
I am Legend by Richard Matheson, it’s one of my favourite books?
Synopsis: Robert Neville is the last living man on Earth … but he is not alone. Every other man, woman and child on the planet has become a vampire, and they are hungry for Neville’s blood.
By day he is the hunter, stalking the undead through the ruins of civilisation. By night, he barricades himself in his home and prays for the dawn.
Yeah, Guillermo de Toro & Chuck Hogan wrote the books and then adapted the books for television, also fun fact ~ Peter Weller (of Robocop fame) directed three episodes of ‘The Strain’?
I started a series a few months ago titled Delta Green. It’s collections of stories taken from the H.P. Lovecraft universe only with a modern twist. It’s like XFiles on steroids.

Scary and vampires? Anne Rice comes to mind. Not if you prefer YA though.
Think Interview With a Vampire (movie with Brad Pitt, Tom Cruise and Christian Slater)

Always go with the classics. If you haven’t already; Stoker’s Dracula.
