I absolutely friggin’ love John Green’s books. Every book he’s written makes me so happy. Turtles All the Way Down was an intense read because of the main character’s anxiety/OCD habits. But because it made me uncomfortable enough when reading, I realized how much more uncomfortable it must be to live it. John Green said that that book was written for a much younger John Green. Since he himself suffers from an anxiety disorder. It took him YEARS for that book to be written in a way that he could be proud of. I love him because his characters are very down to earth and likeable.
Meh. I liked Looking for Alaska. But the. I read Papertowns right after and they are like the exact same plot. Loved A Fault In our Stars and Turtles All The Way Down though. I think the only one that he wrote solely is An Abundance of Katherine’s but even he says that one sucks so I don’t plan on reading it
@Ashley I hated an Abundance of Katherines so much I swore him off but am now willing to give another chance. I just bought Paper Towns for 50 cents at a library book sale.
I love John Green. I’ve read everything he’s ever written. Some were better than others. Looking for Alaska is one if my top 5 favorite books of all time. I could have lived without An Abundance of Katherine’s and I hated Will Grayson, Will Grayson. But his books always have such interesting, and often times weird, characters. I feel like I can relate to a lot of them.
I love Looking for Alaska, but then I read his two other books and I don’t like them at all. Abundance of Katherine is boring and paper town should be named looking for Margo.
I really like his books! I wasn’t sure if I still would because it had been so long since TFIOS but I ended up really liking Turtles All the Way Down. I am not sure how I’d feel about his older stuff now but when I read all his other books I remember liking them.
I’ve read all of his books except the most recent, and I like them more than I would normally because I read and enjoyed them as a teenager. They’re admittedly formulaic, but a lot of authors’ works are. His formula works for him. So, I do and don’t like them. 🙂
As a person, yes lol l have been watching his videos for forever. His books aren’t really my thing.. I read Paper Towns cuz I wanted to read SOMETHING of his. It was good, but his other books don’t interest me. Especially Fault In Our Stars ??
Not my favourite author but I used to get in the mood for some John Green every now and then. Light reads with nerdy young characters.. and also very quotable. Better than most YA novels out there.
I love John Green but have not read TFIOS… ? I think I stumbled upon his work at just the right time in my life. Contrary to popular opinion, I LOVED An Abundance of Katherine’s and Will Grayson, Will Grayson was my favorite. Different strokes I guess ?♀️.
I like his writing, but yet I don’t care about the stories he tells. He doesn’t write compelling characters to me, and once I read more than one of his books, they started to feel the same. He seems like a nice, likable guy, though.
Not read any of his books
It depends on the books.
Looking for Alaska is one of my top 10 all time favourites, I just love the characters.
The Fault in Our Stars is adorable. I loved it when I read it, but it doesn’t make it to my favourites.
Paper Towns is okay, Margo is just egoistic, but I really liked the movie.
Haven’t read the others. I tried getting into Turtles All the Way Down, but failed after two chapters. Willing to try again, though.

I’ve read 2 of his books so far. I liked The Fault in Our Stars, but I disliked Looking for Alaska. The others are on my long long TBR list.

Personally not a fan of his writing/books. But I enjoyed his YouTube series Crash Course History
@Lysa I loved that! Helped me pass my history class in college!
They were okay. For someone with character driven stories I found a lot of characters flat and underdeveloped.
I can’t stand John Green books

yes!!! Looking for Alaska was an amazing read.

I like his books, they are interesting, often surprising, and well written.

I do I feel like I go on a little adventure in his books and feel like a teenager again xx

I enjoy the audiobooks.

Yes b cause I like his choose of words in his books
