Since I haven’t seen anyone mention it, has anyone read the Xanth series by Piers Anthony?

Yes, some of it. Enjoyable light read but not something I can binge
I’ve done several rereads, I just love the corny puns lol
Puns are my favourite !!
I own about half of them or so, there are just soooo many ?
Yes. Years ago. The puns got to be too much and I stopped reading the series.
Decades passed and I just tried rereading it. A Spell For Chameleon. Don’t think I’ll be re-reading any more.
Not for everyone I guess, but that’s ok. Just makes life interesting ?
Excellent it’s all excellent I loved it!
The royal family tree does get a bit complicated though ??
It has its share of critics and many people don’t care for it…
I understand it’s not for everyone…it’s a bit of an acquired taste…though I don’t rank it in my top 10 series I also think it’s not as bad as most people say it is…my advice is that you give it a try and you will probably find out rather quickly if it’s for you or not… ?
My favorite in 7th grade
Ouch…?? I didn’t read it til after I graduated high school
I started early in elementary school on the godfather pizza program…. read a book in school (See Spot Run etc) and after so many books… you get a free personal pizza
Stars and stickers and pizza…
Basically a child’s dream for motivation…. hahaha
I didn’t get into the fantasy genre until I was a sophomore in high school. Had to read one for English class, and I’ve been hooked ever since lol
@Matthew I was part of Pizza Hut’s Book Club for a while in elementary school
I was handed Sojourn by Salvatore in 7th… i couldn’t find enough after that
@Jaclyn
More kids need that kind of motivation…hahaha
@Matthew The book that started it for me was The Luck of Relian Kru by Paula Volsky
The imagination was fantastic and truly Truly defined the word fantasy…
I wish there were more books like that… pushing the bounds of the minds imagination.
Fantastic Book topic, @Jaclyn!!
It’s been a loooooong time but your post triggered such fond memories that even without revisiting I say YES DO IT!
I’ve read a bunch of them and loved them but the last few I just couldn’t get into them. I love puns but there has to be more to the story then puns and shocking panties.
They’re more YA. I really enjoyed his Incarnations of Immortality. Read those in 7th grade tho…
I have the whole series and have read them all though the last few do get very punny there are many that I have enjoyed
Read them in my early teens
Loved it! Fast and fun!!
One of my first fantasy reads!
Yep, growing up 🙂 i found one in the school library, and had read all i could in a year :p ❤️❤️
I tried. Too goofy for me..
Yes good goofy and a very good read
When I was a teenager, the puns start to get old. I like the Incarnations of Immortality much better by him.
Classic series. But the puns! OMG, the puns!
I’m pretty sure that I own every single one.
Oh that’s a blast from the past
Vale of the Vole was the very first book I read from beginning to end and read a bunch out of order.
