I love it. I didn’t know much about him and wasn’t aware his books were in a series? I read zombie lover a long time ago and I ordered it last night because I remember enjoying it but not what happened. Lol
@Katie I just love the fact that someone else actually reads this series. The first Xanth is “A Spell for Chameleon,” and the first Incarnations of Immortality is “On a Pale Horse.” Apparently the series continued on, which I didn’t know. So maybe I’ll pick up the series again.
I have read one book by Piers Anthony and I cannot recall the name of it but I really enjoyed it. However, you must forever be a fan of puns, mixed metaphors, and double entendres because these are present in almost every paragraph. As I said, I enjoyed his writing but I don’t want it as a steady diet.
I have read everything of his that I could get my hands on over the past 20+ years. Started with Xanth, of course, then read Virtual Mode, On A Pale Horse, Rings of Ice, Orn, Dream a Little Dream, Killobyte, etc. He still writes a monthly newsletter on his website, and his wife answers all his fan mail.
I forgot to mention- do NOT read Pornucopia unless you are very mentally prepared for crazy genitalia and strange sex stuff. I’m talking about detachable male genitals with the option of insane attachments, etc. I needed to bleach my brain after that one. Oh, and his books got dirtier as he aged. He really has a dirty mind, but the vast majority of his works are solid, fun reading.
Used to read him all the time. Got through the first 15 books in the Xanth series and read all of the Apprentice Adept and most of Incarnations of Immortality. Only stopped reading his work because I was impatient and it took too long between publishings.
Yes. Do you like puns and wordplay? If so, he’s the author you’ve been waiting for!

@Katie The Xanth series is for you if you love puns
@Bonnie I’m going to order the first one next pay day
A Spell For Chameleon is my favorite xanth novel, followed by Centaur Aisle and Crewel Lye.
I read virtual mode years ago and loved it.
I love his Incarnations of Immortality series, too.
I read his Xanth and Incarnations of Immortality series when I was in my teens. I absolutely loved them.
I read zombie lover unaware it was a series. I want to get the other Xanth books and read them though
@Katie You should. They’re fun reads.
@Sabrina would it be a dumb question asking if you knew the first one? Lol

@Sabrina I’m definitely going to try to read all of them!
I’m so happy that someone else has discovered one of my favorite authors.
loved his Xanth books, and was just talking about the Incarnations books a few days ago with a neigbor LOL also vaguely remember the blue adept
I’m going to try to read all of his books
Don’t read Firefly. It’s a creepy pedophilia apology book. (Sort of.)
Gave me nightmares & put him on my “do not read” list.
I’ll skip over that one!
Yes!! I love him!!
My husband and I were just discussing him. He used to love his Xanth series.
Another vote here for Incarnations of Immortality and Xanth!
Yes! He is my favorite!
I liked the Adept series and the Xanth series. Although the Xanth series is serious punnishment. lol
Especially Crewel Lye.
I enjoyed everything he’s written except the ones that are straight SF
I read a lot of his books many years ago. Loved them!

The puns are only present in the xanth series. He has a plethora of other works.
@Gwendolyn thanks for the enlightenment!
Yes long ago and I loved the incarnations of immortality.
My fav too!
