@Dawn Start with the first of the original trilogy, The Sword of Shannara and see how you go. There’s always going those that love it and those that don’t lol
I also started watching the tv show because there is one actor in it that I really like but.. I don’t know.. I couldn’t enjoy it though the story sounded nice.. but I didn’t actually think there was a book series, too…have to give the books a try then
@Eliesha I knew about the books first but I wanted to get them all before I start reading them so I watched the series first and I am gutted they axed it
The wheel of time, it’s a 14 book series following a set of characters who had to leave their homes I’ll avoid going into too much detail because *spoilers* but the series has some fantastic world building and set cultures, religions, traditions and organized societies thar use magic. I’m only half way through, but it’s pretty good! Only downside us that the women aren’t written too well, but hey that’s typical in this genre. Amazon prime bought the rights to it and will adapt it into a show pretty soon.
@Amy I am a little worried how they’ll do some of the battle scenes because there’s so much magic going on, and everyone will be glowing. I hope that doesn’t look weird.
I have put Brent Weeks as my reply to many questions 🙂 I think you are the first to ‘like’. Does that mean you also read his books? If yes; which has been your favourite so far?
