Vampire academy
Thanks! Who is it by?
@Lauren richelle mead
Second this!!!
This ?
Do you like young adult lit? There’s a great series by Cassandra Clare- The Mortal Instruments. Good fantasy, a little less on the sexy stuff than Sookie though!
Yes read those! Loved them ? x
@Lauren infernal devices? Same author. Its on my TBR…BUT heard grest things
Patricia Briggs is a good author who is similar
The Alchemist series by Michael Scott. It’s got teleporting- always something that I like!
This sounds interesting!
Ilona Andrews, Patricia Briggs, and Anne Frasier all have great series that might catch your interest!
Patricia Briggs
The Raven Cycle by Maggie Stiefvater. Also the wolves of mercy falls by her.
Dante Valentine series by Lilith Saintcrow. Love it so much!!!
The Morganville Vampires by Rachel Caine is great as well
Ooh saying that I think I have book one here!
Chronicles of St. Mary’s by Jodi Taylor.
I’m guessing since you’re on book 12 that it’s a good series? I’ve been thinking of checking it out!
I’ve found it an easy read. I’ve really enjoyed reading them. I’ve averaged one every 2-3 days x
Oooooh that sounds good!
The All Souls Trilogy by Deborah Harkness
Also, the Greywalker series by Kat Richardson and the Harry Dresden series by Jim Butcher
The Hollows series by Kim Harrison
Kim Harrison.
Jim Butcher. Dresden Files.
Dresden Files
I loved that series!
Try Midnight, Texas.
not sure about the dresden files for a 12 year old. Try Spellbound Cozy Mysteries by Annabel Chase. I think there are 8 books in the series.
I think you misread the OP… she’s on book 12, she is not 12 years old!?
duh! lmao!
THe Blood series by Tanya Huff is good, and The Keeper Chronicles by the same author.
Sandman Slim series, by Richard Kadrey. Rollicking good fun!
Anita Blake is pretty good until Obsidian Butterfly, goes to trash after that but it’s a very long series if you want something long and fantasy based
I agree! Got sucked in and then ugh! But way down the line!
Yep and I stuck with it until about 2013 or so then had to stop… couldn’t keep reading that ridiculousness and waiting for the new books and keeping everything straight in between books
Patricia Briggs Mercy series. Dresden by Jim Butcher. Ian Dex series by John P Logsdon
Anita Blake series!! It’s my favorite!
My friend mentioned this author!! She mustbe very good. Is it about vampires, like a romance type?x
It’s everything supernatural. And very steamy and smutty. Lol but I don’t read it for that part.
Ah okay, which book should I start with first?x
Guilty pleasures is the first
I have orders this. Should be here soon!
Jacqueline Carey – Agent of Hel series is very similar. Small town, funny characters, romance, and supernatural goings on. ?
Ooh I like the sound of this!
Kelley Armstrong’s Women of the Otherworld series is a great read. Lots of different supernatural creatures and it has a few different narrators over the books as well so it never gets boring.
Unfamiliar with Sookie Stackhouse (have heard the name, but that’s it) – is it YA? Fantasy? Would someone mind giving me a snapshot of the series? Thx!
Contemporary fantasy, werewolves and vampires in our midst.
True Blood the HBO series is based off the books.
Loved the book series!
If you’ve heard of the TV series from a few years ago called True Blood (vampires, werewolves and other supernatural creatures)…that was all based on the Sookie Stackhouse books.
@Cynthia ahhh, thank you!
@Julie thx!
