I did not care for it. Anne Rice is one of my top 10 favorite authors of all time and I can say I know why she changed her pen name and didn’t claim any rights to this book until it was 10 years old! Rape and abuse is something I cannot support.
@Alexandra I really love The Vampire Lestat! The movie was pretty good. Louie in the book is pretty whiny and self-loathing too. Best vampire series that I have read. The movie Queen of the Damned is a rough combo of The Vampire Lestat And Queen of the Damned books. They left out a lot. And even though the soundtrack might be one of my favorite of all time, I don’t really care for the movie.
She does a fantastic job of making the vamps “human” and showing that even the undead have as many issues as the living.
Definitely pornographic lol. Read the bit where in the inn and the daughter off the keeper hits beauty on the ass with that big wooden spoon. Started reading while waiting for bus early on soon decided to leave till got home lmao
I’ve read all but the newest one. I always recommend Jacqueline Carey’s Kushiel series, starting with Kushiel’s Dart, whenever someone mentions these or 50 Shades
Ha ha, I love that series. Not read book 4 yet though.
I just started it. At the part where they are in the inn

Just a bit.
Haha i have them. Read them without any shame! ? yes it’s very dark and gritty but there was something about it that kept me intrigued!
I no shame it’s a bit 0.0 got read rest to see what happens
If you like these then I recommend Story of O and Venus in Fur
Thankyou I have a look
The Story of O broke my heart.
It was pretty brutal…the sequel was garbage
Wasn’t aware there was one. I think I’ll keep to the first.
Different author…not worth reading
Good to know.

I was a bit disappointed in the first one, tbh. I haven’t continued the series.
I LOVE the Kushiel’s series!
I didn’t finish it
I read the first one over 10 years ago. I really like her, as a person, and I have great respect for her talent, but I cannot get into her writing.
