There’s enough ‘real’ in real life for me. I prefer the nice endings where people end up with who and what they want, lol. And yeah, I’m one of those where if things are going badly I’ll skip to the end to make sure it ends well before continuing.
I guess it just depends on the book you are reading. Some books are meant to have happy endings while others wouldn’t make sense for it to be rainbows and butterfly’s but just a noble/sad ending if that makes any sense lol
That’s a really good question. Never thought much about it, but at first thought: I guess I tend to like happy endings. Although, I don’t want them to be over the top fake happy endings. So I guess I’d have to say I like realistic happy endings. ??
@Tnoki lol. Yeah but start reading too much of those guys or those perfect happy endings and well…we tend to want it more. But no relationship and no guy is that simple.
Realistic.
real

I don’t even like anyone dying in books…
@Munnu me either. I generally stay away from sad books, with very few exceptions.
Me too. And that’s why I don’t really read realistic fiction much. I read books for a break from reality!!
Realistic
Happily ever after if it’s possible. I have too much realism every day.
Happily ever after! Always.
Honestly I just prefer an ending. I’m not big into series. Same thing with movies…I want an ending not to be left wondering.
Surprising endings
Happy Ever After.
I have been known to rage quit otherwise.
Realistic is all right but it should include closure. Not much realism gives me that
Happy endings…
It just has to flow organically to whatever conclusion.

I really want a book where the villian actually pulls through and wins tbh
Have you read You by Caroline Kepnes? It’s one from the point of view of the villain & its awesome
@Deanna i have not, will for sure check it out! Thank you!
It’s one of my favorites!!
I like realistic happy endings.
It depends on the story, but I prefer realistic endings rather than a messed up happily ever after ending

I prefer the realistic hea ending
Happy! ?
At least a little happy or with potential. It’s why I like series I think,
Releastic endings
Happily ever after, I read books because I want to scape the real hard world.
I only require the endings to make sense, and not leave important things hanging.
It depends on the book, as it needs to make sense. But, typically I like a happy ending.
It depends on the book. But I like a more realistic ending, it keeps me from believing in that true ‘prince charming’ lol
Lol I can say that ‘price charming’ is too much imaginary ?
@Tnoki lol. Yeah but start reading too much of those guys or those perfect happy endings and well…we tend to want it more. But no relationship and no guy is that simple.
Oh exactly..they worsen our feelings in reality ? damn!!
Realistic
Depends on the story, if it is too much touching from the beginning, I’d like to read a happy ending..
Depends on my mood, and the story.
i agree with other- depends on story. I like HEA or HFN if its romance depending on if it makes sense- so i guess realistic.
Both
realistic
Realistically happy endings
Realistic ones. That’s why I love Nicholas Sparks for this
Depends on genre but in general i like realism or at least a bit in most things
realistic is leaves u hanging, hurt happily ever after is what I like
Happy ever after is unrealistic!? Oh no …. have you got an eraser?
@Randall not always
Realistic and it doesn’t have to be unhappy. It doesn’t make sense comparing happy with realistic.
I prefer happiness
I prefer happy
I like endings that crush my heart into little pieces
