I Capture the Castle by Dodie Smith or A Town Like Alice by Nevile Shute
Love comes softly by Jannette Oke
Nocturne by Syrie James. Plain fame by Sarah Price.
If you are looking for a little action in your romance story. I would advise on any of Sherilyn Kenyon books. Her Dark Hunter/Dreamer and League series are all extremely good reads.

Just discovered The Bronze Horseman by Paullina Simons. Set in WW2 Russia…SO good! It’s a trilogy too.
