POLDARK (Book 1) by Winston Graham. The setting is in Cornwall (Southwest England) in 1783. Ross Poldark returns home after service in America as an officer in the British Army and finds much that has changed. (This is one of THE BEST novels I’ve ever read.)
The Memory Book. It is so great. I also really recommend Midnight Sun. It is what the new movie is based on. I cried so hard. But the love was so great
Don’t rule out the 50 Shades Series. The writing isn’t the best, but the storyline, theme, and details are worth checking out. 15 million books purchased is reason enough to take a look. Book three was the best of the series, I think. I also agree with anything Nora Roberts. My personal favorite is “The Witness.”
ACOTAR series was amazing and anythin Karen Marie Moning (highlander series and fever series) and Monica McCarty has a Highland Guard series and some stand alones.
Please, please, read Anita Shreve books. They are great. Sadly, she passed away this week at the age of 71 from cancer. There were many many tributes to her. Her books have greatly enriched my reading life over the years.
