That’s how I feel about ‘Beloved’. Heart wrenching. I sobbed after the movie ended, for several minutes. I’ve never felt so raw and distraught after a movie, or anything really. And I could never get through the book. I had nightmares everytime I attempted it.
Heart-wrenching, right?
It is a truly good book, but it does have it’s tragic surprise.
Painful…I watched the movie…Really heartbreaking
One of the most moving books. I could never read it again.

‘Beloved’ gutted me. The film, also.
Don’t watch the movie either
I saw the movie. NOT a date movie!
Er..no.
No, it is not…
Yeah no
I haven’t read the book, but I’ve seen the movie. ???
I haven’t seen the film….i’m English so it’s not movie….but the book killed me
Flicks
A moving memorable read.
The movie was hard enough for me. ?
I totally agree! So painful.
I liked the movie.
I read it awhile ago-very sad
That made me want to read it
I saw the movie a long time ago thinking it was a movie for kids… I was hysterical
It’s on my list! ?
I read it for a Literature college class I was taking. Simple, but powerful. Try reading Long Way Gone. That was for my class as well.
too late
They also made it into a movie, with a young Rupert Grint. I can’t even look at the cover of the DVD.
Saw the movie – very sad and disturbing
stories like those kill me emotionally
I’m going to run right out and get it.
It was sad
I thought Kid’s read this in school?
Yes. It surprises me that children read it in school, but they also read Night by Elie Wiesel.
It’s a good story, but I feel it doesn’t do the tragedy of the Holocaust justice.
