Definitely not a serious series but more of a light read…Amy Boyles has I think two witch series. For me, they’re fluff books that I enjoy after reading heavy, deep material.
Not sure I have ever read either, unless you count Vulcans crash landing on Earth before they intended to make first contact. [Star Trek: Strangers from the Sky, Margaret Wander Bonnano, 1987.]
Eifelheim by Michael Flynn. The main setting is in the 14th century in the Black Forest where aliens have crash landed. The way both the humans in the village and the stranded aliens learn to communicate with each other and how the eventual tragedy plays out is a marvel of modern story telling.
@Lindsay, Time’s Convert is due out on September 18th, Amazon blurb says it’s about a young man Matthew meets and turns into a vampire during the Revolutionary War, and follows his story.
A lot of Kelley Armstrong’s Women of the Otherworld series includes witches.
They are introduced in Book 2: Stolen but are the main characters in Book 3: Dime Store Magic and Book 4: Industrial Magic.
Each book or every other book has a different supernatural narrator sharing the same universe so while you get the most out of it by reading in order, it’s not necessary to do so.
How about the Grim Reaper? Darynda Jones’s Charlie Davidson series is a light and fun reading adventure!?❤ First book is called First Grave on the Right.
@Sandra You know you’re a bookaholic when you forget which books you have. I have to keep my unread books on a special shelf so I remember. I’ve given up keeping track of the ones I’ve read. One of the reasons I like Amazon is because they tell me if I’ve already bought a book.
Black Panther, Ta-Nehisi Coates
Discovery of Witches
