My all time favorites tearjerker – P.S. I LOVE YOU. And you get to look at hotties Gerard Butler and Jeffrey Dean Morgan. Of course this is a movie as opposed to book but you did say “tear jerker”.
I’ve only seen the movie which brings major tears every time I watch it, so I assume the book, which I have not read would do the same. “The Notebook” by Nicolas Sparks.
Romeo and Juliet tops my list for the tear jerker romance. After that, Love Story was pretty good. I’m generally not a romance fan, not that I have anything against them, it’s just that I like other things better so I don’t know about contemporary romances. I just realized that I have read Where the Crawdads Sing and that definitely has romance in it although though that’s not the only theme.
Terms of Endearment…Larry McMurtry…
The Bridges of Madison County, The Fault in Our Stars, Me Before You, The Bronze Horseman
@Jenny I loved every single one of these!!! All great books!

It’s an even better book by Cecilia ahern
@Erica I sobbed like a 4 yr old through the movie. I don’t think I could stand the book if it’s even better.
Love Story by Erich Segal
I really enjoyed The Garden of Small Beginnings

The Time Traveler’s Wife destroyed me.
I think you could consider A Man Called Ove as a romantic tearjerker

Me Before You
The Light Between Oceans
Thr light we lost
