I’m looking for a good romance.
Hello! I’m looking for a good romance — thought you all might have some suggestions. Some caveats: it has to be fantastic writing with really interesting characters. I kind of need a happy ending right now, too.

Hmmm. Thinking.
Oh – The Walsh series by Kate Canterbary – sassy, funny, sexy 🙂
I like the Outlander series by Diana Gabaldon. If you like historical romance, action, adventure, fantasy. I don’t usually read series but these characters are enough to hold my interest
Yeah, second this. One of the few series I’ve read all the way through more than once.
This is YA, but I loved it: Between the Lines by Jodi Picoult and her daughter Samantha vanLeer. It is a fun, romantic read.
And if you like it, the sequel is called Off the Page. ?
Bridges of Madison County – maybe not such a happy ending.
The Bennett Sisters series, starting with Blackbird Fly by Lise McClendon. Light & fun, set mostly in France, with a little mystery, wine and a Frenchman!!
Bridges was excellent!!
@Sally but not a happy ending
True. The love story part was wonderful, the unfaithfulness part was not. Felt conflicted when reading it & decided just to enjoy the fantasy love story.
If you like historical romance I recommend anything (and everything) by Julia Quinn.
My favorite contemporary romance writers are Susan Elizabeth Phillips and Susan Mallory. My favorite historical romance writers are Eloisa James and Grace Burrowes

My favorites both by Elizabeth Lowell are Sweet Wind, Wild Wind and Fire and Rain
Alison Bliss. 1st one is Size matters. 2nd book is on the plus side. Witty easy reads
time traveler’s wife
Try Susannah Kearsley.
Little, Big.
The scarlet pimpernel
Here are a few of my faves: Flowers from the Storm by Laura Kinsale (historical), Dating You/Hating You by Christina Lauren (contemporary), Jane Eyre by Charlotte Bronte (classic), Master of Crows by Grace Draven (fantasy).
