I read the Buried Giant and it was different, but I enjoyed it. Some of his other books are on my shelves, waiting to be read.

I’ve never read his works but I am happy that Nobel Prize went to an actual writer and not to some lyricist or musician.

His writing is sublime. The Remains of the Day is a beautiful book (and the film is wonderful too – makes me cry everytime) and The Buried Giant makes you think. I am pleased it went to him.
