Maybe start with romantic suspense so you’re not jumping fully into romance. I recently read the Cincinnati series by Karen Rose which starts with Closer Than You Think. Loved the entire series!
The description sounds interesting, but I’m not into fiction with religious themes subject matter. Seems like you’ve got a lot a reviews though, so way to go. 🙂
@Justine yeah, it’s about karma and stuff. Thnx. Btw i wasn’t forcing it, just needed an honeat opinion from a writer. If there is a wee bit of chance then give it a try.
i like Nora Roberts series, Jayne Ann Krentz. both do Romance Suspense but Roberts has a murder mystery series under JD Robs. Krentz goes from historical to futuristic
hmmm what exactly are you looking for? as if you’re looking for just sweeping language and drama, you’d be better off with the classics like Jane Austen. i personally get pretty bored with stuff like that so i tend to like the suspense aspect.
@Tabitha I’ve had my share of suspense, thrill, logic, science, mystery…lost goes on And that was the point of me asking for recommendations, i want to read pure romance.
i personally loved D H Lawerence’s Lady Chatterley’s Lover, but for totally unrelated reasons as it showed how much Lawerence had a disdain for “modern” society as it grew around him.
Are you asking for romance recommendations?
Yeah
FYI- I’ve read Romeo and Juliet
@Vedanshu I wouldn’t totally consider that a romance. But I made a few suggestions below if you want to try a few different things.

Will try that. Thnx pal!
@Vedanshu Sandra Brown is a great option too.
I will GO FOR IT!
Here are some lighter options, romances but not considered genre romance:
Fangirl by Rainbow Rowell
The Hating Game by Sally Thorne
The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society by Mary Shaffer
Outlander series by Diana Gabaldon
Straight up Genre Romance:
The Duke and I by Julia Quinn
First Lady by Susan Elizabeth Phillips
Pairing Off by Elizabeth Harmon
Lick by Kylie Scott
The Duchess Deal by Tessa Dare
The Deal by Elle Kennedy.
I hope that helps! Happy Reading!!
Thank you for all that input.
Really appreciate it, I’ll give them a go.
Thnx

Promoting, aren’t we?
Nonetheless I’ll think of it.
@Vedanshu I write fantasy/romance. Might help to read something that’s a blend of genres instead of diving into pure romance 🙂
@Justine since you’re a writer I’m asking you to share with me, how you feel about this-

Hmm, any of ’em with just romance that you know of?

Outlander by Diana Gabaldon!!! Everyone should read this series IMO

Jane Austen’s novels, if you haven’t read them already, is a great place to start.
Thnx, i appreciate your help.
