It is dated but if you appreciate the traditional whodunnits then carry on. I personally love all Agatha Christie books.

It’s a classic which means of the techniques have been used by other authors and you won’t be as shocked anymore.

Keep going when you get to the end you will feel that JUSTICE has been done. It’s one of her best books.

I don’t like her writing style, couldn’t get into any of her books. I prefer A. Conan Doyle or Jerome K Jerome “Three men in a boat” for a laugh.

Agatha takes patience. She usually starts by introducing a lot of characters and situations, so it takes a while for things to get interesting. Once they do though, you’re in for a wild ride.

It doesn’t pick up speed. But the ‘who did it’ is worth the wait.

My mistake was watching the movie before reading it which made it slow for me but in the end I liked it. It made curious to read more Agatha Christie books and now I have a collection of about 20 and counting waiting to read. I’ve read about 5 so far out of the collection

It’s worth sticking it out.. Novels written in the 1930’s were much slower paced than those of today. The end is well worth it!

It’s a classic book. But don’t watch the movie first…

@Michele that was the mistake I made ???‍♀️. I had to trudge along to finish it but I loved the way it ended making it worth it.

YES! I love everything by Agatha Christie. STICK WITH IT! I promise it’ll get get better. All of her books start out slow and uneventful until about a third to half way through. The beginnings are good, but the middle and ends are AWESOME!

Some will say yes, some will say no. Use your own judgement if you want to continue reading it or not.
