Have you read Marion Zimmer Bradley’s Heritage of Hastur series?
No I haven’t. (: I will look them up. Thank you!
They were written a while back, but the library should have them.
New York trilogy by Paul Auster
Thank you ?
your welcome, I tell people to read him, because I feel like he is a good writer and I totally skipped over him, hope you enjoy.
Dark Hunters series Sherrilyn Kenyon, Belador series Dianna Love, Seven realms series Cinda Williams Chima
Throne of Glass or a court of thorns and roses by Sarah J Maas are both very good as well. If you do read them start with Throne. It doesn’t move as fast as court, but it’s amazing.
Sweet! Thanks!?
I am reading it right now. Is AWESOME!!!
Yes!!! A Court of Thorns and Roses series was amazing. I’m currently reading the Throne of Glass series and love it also.
An ember in the ashes
Thank you!?
Inheritance series by Christopher Poalini
Thank you!?
Check out Mercedes Lackey. She’s got a ton of wonderful series to read. My favorite being the Arrows Fall trilogy and the Black Gryphon trilogy.
Thanks! I will look her up! ?
You’ll not run out of books to read for a long, long time if you get into Mercedes Lackey.
That is amazing. I can never have enough books to read! Lol
Yup. She’s got a ton of great books and I love her writing style. She’s been a favorite for many years.
If you like darker fantasy type stuff, try Alice Borchadt. She’s sister to Anne Rice and she’s got a very grungy and almost vicious style. Her Silver Wolf trilogy and her Qwynevere books are interesting, but a bit harder to read.
“Shannara” series by Terry Brooks (DO NOT WATCH THE SERIES FOR THE LOVE OF ODIN) and Simon R Greens “Nightside”. The former is thick LOTR style and length. The later is more quick reads but both enjoyable
Stephen Donaldson The Chronicles of Thomas Covenant
Janet Evanovich Clive Cussler (more than 50 with 4 different main characters. ) Entertaining adventure all over the world with famous places in the book.
The Mercy Thompson series by Patricia Briggs. Urban fantasy. Love it!
Well shoot! I just added that one too then saw your comment. Two votes for Mercy!
I recently read a Secrets trilogy by Leanne Wood. A great family saga that starts in Australia in the early 1900s. The first book, Pages of your life is about a woman, the 2nd and 3rd books go into the following generations and how her secrets impact on them. All her books have great characters and twists. I found them extremely enjoyable.
That sounds amazing. I will definitely look into these! Thank you!
@Trista, they were great and I just read her latest that was a thriller / suspense called Torment. It was about a woman who takes revenge. Definitely a page turner that got more intense. Good luck, there are so many great books out there.
Wow, that one sounds great, too! There are so many and it is so exciting lol
Dorothy Must Die
The Thousandth Floor
The Mistborn trilogy by Brandon Sanderson, Gentleman Bastard Series by Scott Lynch
Also Ghatti’s Tale series by Gayle Greeno. May be out of print now, but well worth finding.

Oh and try The Passage by Justin Cronin and A Darker Shade of Magic by V E Schwab.
The Mercy Thompson series and Alpha Omega series by Patricia Briggs. Urban fantasy
Outlander Series by Diana Gabaldon. It’s time travel, historical fiction, adventure, and romance. It’s truly it’s own genre. I highly recommend it to all readers as it has something for everyone.

Sanderson’s storytelling combined with his world building makes you feel as if you are reading an historical fiction novel from another world! Book three comes out on Nov. 14! I cannot wait!
The Riftwar Saga by Raymond E Feist
The Belgariad and Mallorean series by David Eddings
Thoroughly recommend both series (although the Riftwar Saga kind of continues on through a few other connected series…so you’re looking at almost 30 books in total ?)

The Outlanders. I just finished the first one. Its by Dianna Gabaldon
Anything and everything Star Trek. Just be sure if it’s in a series that you read it in the right order.
If you haven’t read it already, I’d like to add the Kingkiller Chronicles by Patrick Rothfuss to the suggestion list: The Name of the Wind, The Wise Men’s Fear
