I put the names of my unread ebooks in it because unlike my physical shelves that I can browse to look at those books I haven’t read yet and remember ones I have forgotten about, on my kindle they are out of sight out of mind. But if you are not an e-reader, I would just put all of your unread books in there and just draw them out at random?
Mine keeps getting longer, no matter how many I read. Thank God the hubby lets me buy books. Can’t say I’m ever without. And then, whenever I finish I can go to the library, check out some more suggestions and then buy copies of the ones I enjoyed
Doing this has been insanely helpful. Every time I saw it I always thought it was stupid. Until I tried it. Now when I grab stuff I fly through it. I don’t know if it’s the randomness of not knowing what’s next or what, but I’m glad I did.
? Tbr means ” to be read” — soooooo put names of books you plan to read on snippets of paper, and put them in a jar..then grab one out of the jar randomly…and read the book that is listed on that slip of paper…?
If you have a different reading goal, you can put several slips for that in the jar. For example; I want to read biographies of all the US presidents in order of office, so I would put three or four slips in the jar with “Presidential Biography” on them. =) You could also put other non-specific slips in with things like “Oldest Unread Book”.
What is your intention? If to choose books then name and author. If you want a genre based one then put the genres or subgenres
Not sure. I haven’t done one before so I’m up to any theme ideas or ideas in general.
I leave a few empty pieces in as well that way I can pick anything I might like if I get that piece 🙂

I had to give up on mine, I would put the paper back in there if it wasn’t the one that I wanted lol which defeats the whole purpose. . Lol
@Melissa I would do the same thing. Don’t like the idea of rules on what I can read!
