I have around 600 books in my bedroom lol I love books and have done since I was little…hoping once my little man’s bigger to build a library in my front room 🙂 xx
I love my kindle way more than I thought I would. So easy to take with you, pick up anytime and to read in bed. I usually end up waking in the middle of the night to move it off my pillow. No lost or creased pages!
I love and adore my kindle. Took me a while to like it but now I just love it. It’s the fire so it’s back lit so I can read anywhere, it’s light and easy to hold and you can have numerous books with you at once.
I have a LONG way to go before finishing the TBR stack on my tablet. I have a question tho. Is it just MY tablet, or do you all have trouble reading in the sun? My screen is completely black if I go outside…….bugs the crap out of me. lol
I still go to the library, but I have a tablet and buy and check out ebooks for that. Love that I can be reading a book on my tablet at home, then pick up my phone and cont. reading if I’m waiting somewhere.
I miss real books but love my kindle! I like that I can sample books and only buy them if I like it after 20 pages or so! I save a lot of money. And if you have Amazon prime you get one free book per month and some are really good! ?
I go both ways. Sometimes it’s cheaper on the kindle and I can get library books on kindle when I am awake at 5 am for no reason. I do still have piles of books, used and new on the nightstand, end tables…
I go back and forth.. I read on my phone/tablet more at night when I am in bed since I can do that without a light, but I still love a good book in my hands
I do too. Everything except my beloved signed copies from my favorite authors. I cherish those like I do babies. I coo, and pet, and hug, and keep them safe and protected. <3
I used to read them all on kindle, but then I started listening to half on audiobook and reading the other half on my laptop while using the treadmill desk.
I read a few types of books. I mostly read hand held books as I find it less distracting than my tablet but I read on tablets occasionally and listen to audiobooks too.
No way! That kind of breaks all magic , plus, I love that smell when I get a new book! I think technology can’t fight some things, this is one of them!
Yes, my kindle fire. I love the almost immediate gratification of my kindle, and the fact that I have so many of my books with me most of the time. I do have a few of my favorites in print. ???????
Every which way they come! Love ebooks for reading in bed, and getting audio for driving time. Love a good paperback so I can hold and get it signed by author.
I have a big bunch of REAL books, which are my fave, and now have 3-400 on my kindle app. Read those sometimes on my tablet, but more often on my phone, since it’s always with me, and I can grab it easily in the middle if the night and read when I can’t sleep, without disturbing the hubs!
Most of the books I buy and read or on my IPad Kindle App. I use the library and every once on a while I buy a paper copy to read and share. I’ll always buy paper books at conferences and author events. I love paper books at read when I’m in my jacuzzi, so I’m usually reading more than one book at a time.
Since I love love love Netgalley, I read a lot on my kindle..but I still read a lot of paper books too. Again..doesn’t matter what you read on…it matters that you read.
I wonder if an indie author loses all motivation and inspiration when reading these posts about people who will never even attempt to read their books, because OMG not a KINDLE!!!
I’m confused about this comment. Indie authors can and need to offer e-books and paper versions. To be successful, you need to be all in, meet the customer with what they want and be just as good in your product as traditional books. Maybe even better! You know, to get that word of mouth working for you. I’ve read four self published books this year so far and there is only one I’d recommend. Why are people rushing to publish something that is not ready? It hurts everyone else that has or might self publish. I have more to say, but I’ll stop for now.
It’s life and it happens no matter what career you pick. Punches come with Perks! We don’t all wear the same dress/pants but the designers don’t let that even enter their minds. Just Write like you love it.
Has to be a book for me 🙂 xx
I know a lot of people that can only do a book. I do like books but don’t like to store them lol
I have around 600 books in my bedroom lol I love books and have done since I was little…hoping once my little man’s bigger to build a library in my front room 🙂 xx
Awesome !!!
I will read absolutely anything lol xx
Never-has to be an actual book.
I mix it up between my Paperwhite and physical books!
Awesome !!
Has to be a book for me ?
Love the feel of a book in my hands! Also like to share when I’m finished.
I love my kindle way more than I thought I would. So easy to take with you, pick up anytime and to read in bed. I usually end up waking in the middle of the night to move it off my pillow. No lost or creased pages!
That’s what I like also. I love taking it with me every where
Couldn’t agree more….I have a Nook. Love it! Originally thought I had to have a real book, changed my mind ….love the convenience!
I agree Kerrie, I was hesitant at first but as I age I love the light and font option. But I will never give up “real” books!!
I too have changed my mind. I definitely resisted, but now most of what I read is on my Kindle.
I prefer a book though I do have a Kindle for ’emergencies’.
I don’t own a tablet of any sort so it’s paper for me!
I don’t own a Kindle (or tablet) but I have the Kindle app on my iPhone.
I love and adore my kindle. Took me a while to like it but now I just love it. It’s the fire so it’s back lit so I can read anywhere, it’s light and easy to hold and you can have numerous books with you at once.
thats how i feel about mine. i love it
Kindle keeps filing up
It’s a mix for me but I definitely prefer physical books ?.
I have a LONG way to go before finishing the TBR stack on my tablet. I have a question tho. Is it just MY tablet, or do you all have trouble reading in the sun? My screen is completely black if I go outside…….bugs the crap out of me. lol
It’s not a kindle …I have the kindle app on a samsung tablet.
Yes, I have that problem my Nook.
It frustrates me because I had bought the tablet with the incentive of being able to have all my books stored on it to read anywhere I went.
My Kindle Paper white you can read on sun.
Paper books will be pried out of my cold, dead hands! 🙂
I still go to the library, but I have a tablet and buy and check out ebooks for that. Love that I can be reading a book on my tablet at home, then pick up my phone and cont. reading if I’m waiting somewhere.
i love the library
About 1/2 on my phone, including audiobooks, and 1/2 physical books. I have a Nook but haven’t been using it recently.
Audio
Prefer paper, but becoming quite fond of my Kindle Paperwhite. Often buy books there first, then if I really love them, may invest in a paper copy.
I miss real books but love my kindle! I like that I can sample books and only buy them if I like it after 20 pages or so! I save a lot of money. And if you have Amazon prime you get one free book per month and some are really good! ?

I doubt I’ll ever get to all of them. I have tons, but prefer print. So, I read them first.
I read on my Kindle and physical books equally
I’m with Lesley I will never get to all mine.. there is just too many.
Either one for me.
Me too but I do have some hard copies. I like to see them in my bookcase. They are like friends to me.
I go back and forth.. I read on my phone/tablet more at night when I am in bed since I can do that without a light, but I still love a good book in my hands
Nope, never owned one…I like the feel of paper and the smell…of a new or old book….
I know a lot of people that feel the same way
Yes; love going anywhere with my “library” and it’s easier on my hands now that they hurt all the time.
I love taking my library with me
90% tree books/10% e-books
I buy a lot of both, books for me and e-books for my daughter.
I have over 2000. I go on sites everyday and keep adding free ones
No comment…lol. I really really try hard. My reading time seams to be getting hacked at lately, not my choice of course!
Hahahaha . . . ? If I live to be 100, doubt that will happen!
Yep.
No don’t have one
Paper only for me even though I have a tablet.
I do too. Everything except my beloved signed copies from my favorite authors. I cherish those like I do babies. I coo, and pet, and hug, and keep them safe and protected. <3
My kindle fire.
Not cookbooks though.I need to write in those!
50-50.
I used to read them all on kindle, but then I started listening to half on audiobook and reading the other half on my laptop while using the treadmill desk.
I read physical copies.
Nope, I love to hold a book in my hands. And turn pages.
Paper only.
I do it all! As long as I have access to a book/ebook/digital, etc, and I’m reading, I am a happy girl!
Moving that direction
No, I love holding a real book.
Same here…never thought I would either!
My library loans are mostly physical books. All others are kindle!
That’s the best way.
Nope. No e-readers for me. I’m an old fart.
I spend my working life and writing life in front of a screen, so I read paper. still love the feeling of holding an actual book !
Always my Kindle.
Yes, my kindle fire. I love the almost immediate gratification of my kindle, and the fact that I have so many of my books with me most of the time. I do have a few of my favorites in print. ???????
Da em same, @Jan.
Yes for me.
Every which way they come!
Love ebooks for reading in bed, and getting audio for driving time. Love a good paperback so I can hold and get it signed by author.
Agree!
What you said, @Tonni, and how you said it. Yes!
Nailed it, @Tonni!
Yes, I said that I would never use an ereader, but I love it!
While I have a kindle app on my iPad, and many e-books downloaded onto it, I’ve only read a few on it. I prefer a trade paperback any day!
I have a big bunch of REAL books, which are my fave, and now have 3-400 on my kindle app. Read those sometimes on my tablet, but more often on my phone, since it’s always with me, and I can grab it easily in the middle if the night and read when I can’t sleep, without disturbing the hubs!
Kindle.
Kindle
Kindle
Kindle
Books still. Dont like Kindle.
50-50 ….
Paper books
Most of the books I buy and read or on my IPad Kindle App. I use the library and every once on a while I buy a paper copy to read and share. I’ll always buy paper books at conferences and author events. I love paper books at read when I’m in my jacuzzi, so I’m usually reading more than one book at a time.
I still prefer the good old paper pages …..
It’s a split–new friends on tablet, old classics on paper. I have to admit, I prefer paper.
Actual book for sure!
Since I love love love Netgalley, I read a lot on my kindle..but I still read a lot of paper books too. Again..doesn’t matter what you read on…it matters that you read.
I still like books, but do the kindle from time to time…
I read the actual books usually. I have a Kindle, but seldom use it.

I agree I just don’t understand the hate really. People are reading! That’s a good thing!
I read about 30% of my books on my tablet. I still like the feel of a book in my hand.
I read a little over half of them on my ipad. Still love holding a print book, though.
I’ve always got more in the wings!
Both on the Kindle and hard copies!
No. I still stubbornly prefer real books you can hold in your hand and have a certain smell when you open the pages.
I do buy kindle books by certain new authors. If the book sounds good I’ll buy it, but I prefer paper. I have tons of both.
My Nook has been on a shelf gathering dust after I read one book on it. I couldn’t make the switch.
I like being able to read even in bad light. Reading End Of Watch by Stephen King on my tablet right now
I have about 4200 ebooks. I will never run out of books. I refuse! Love my paper though.
I feel better now! I only have about 2,300!
I listen more than read these days.
