wow , in that case Let me check my Kindle. 1. Wings of war series by Bryce o’connor : Its a bit weird as its from a drake/dragon’s POV 2. Sovereign of the seven Isles by David A. Wells. They are easy to read and fun plus hard to keep down. 3. Kin of Kings series by B.T. Narro . I loved every book in this series.
Immortals After Dark series is awesome and the narrator is the icing on the cake; Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy is great, IT, The Girl with All the Gifts, The Hobbit, Interview with the Vampire, Bram Stokers Dracula, George RR Martins game of thrones books, The Stand
Okay, this is a long shot, but Autobiography of Miles Davis is an AMAZING audiobook! The book is written in an incredibly conversational way, and the guy reading it nails Miles’ low, scratchy voice and just sells the hell out of it. It’s like 16 hours long and so so fun.
Also worth remembering that Miles was a fairly vile person in a lot of ways — vain, petty, misogynistic. He turns from making remarkable musical insights to trashing everyone around him on a dime.
Strongly recommend Way of Kings by Brandon Sanderson , especially if you love fantasy! Bonus is its like 40+ hours so you really get your credits worth
For sci fi I love anything by Child & Preston. Listening in the car, my physicist husband will frequently comment on how they got some sciency thing exactly right.
Small Great Things; Eleanor Oliphant is Completely Fine; Homegoing; and if you like YA/kids…The Girl Who Drank the Moon; Echo; Drums, Girls and Dangerous Pie
what genre do you like to read 🙂 ?
Mostly fiction–historical, good sci fi and fantasy. Everything but romance, techno thrillers, and cyberpunk.
Have you read @Chinelo by @Patrick ?
@Praveen -Yes. Loved them.

^^ I have read and loved both of these series 🙂 .
I love Temeraire!

I’ve read most of those but will check out Immortals After Dark!
The invention of wings
Awesome listening to the two girls giving their stories in ” their” voices
Did you read Code Name: Verity? Sounds similar.
The invention of Wings is a slave girl and plantation owner’s daughter telling the story
Based on Women in History
Wow! I disliked that book, but it sounds as if it would have been a better listen.
The Cinder Spires: The Aeronaut’s Windlass by Jim Butcher is a good one.
I’ve been meaning to read those!

Will definitely look at it!

Loved it so much !!
For sci fi I love anything by Child & Preston. Listening in the car, my physicist husband will frequently comment on how they got some sciency thing exactly right.
I love all their books but I like Pendergast’s voice in my head better than the narrators voice. Lol
I agree. And the narrator is great
Miranda Hart’s “Is It Just Me?” SO funny.
I’m not much of one for audiobooks myself. I’ve only “read” three. Go Set a Watchman, The Handmaid’s Tale and Bossy Pants.
I’ve read all 3 in book form!
Life of Pi. Great reader!
I really enjoyed Bernard Cornwell’s Saxon series.
Ready Player One and The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society come to mind!
Also, Calling Me Home.
The Heretics Daughter
Replay by Ken Grimwood
West with the Night by Markham
Harry Potter series. I don’t actually like the books much, (but everyone else in the world does) and that narrator is amazing
The narrator is Jim Dale, my favorite!
I like them both, but Mr. Jim Dale does an outstanding job of reading/performing.
Anything by Ann Rivers Siddons. The narrations are always superb.
The Martian; A Little Life; Born to Run; Under the Udala Trees; Be Frank With Me; Middlesex…all terrific stories and great narrators
Ikr
Invention of Wings(Sue Monk Kidd)and One Man(AndrewGp Gross)
If you like middle school fiction, Wonder by Palaccio is awesome. Also The Wild Robot by Peter Brown.
The shadow of the wind
Just an amusing thought, no offensive intended. How weird is it to use an “audible” credit for a “silent” book club! (I’m a fan of audiobooks too!)
I dont do audiobooks either
A Man called Ove!
Anything by David Sedaris
Going Postal by Terry Pratchett.

Small Great Things; Eleanor Oliphant is Completely Fine; Homegoing; and if you like YA/kids…The Girl Who Drank the Moon; Echo; Drums, Girls and Dangerous Pie
You get a lot of hours for the credit with Stephen King, or Diana Gabladon.
11/22/63. Stephen King’s JFK historical fiction was very good as an audiobook
Listening to The Orchardist right now – highly recommemd
I helped do research on that book. The author was my college roommate. Check for my name in the Acknowledgements!

The Book Thief by Marcus Zusak – the reader is amazing!!!!!
Read the book ❤️? ….don’t know if I’d like an audio voice interfering in my read.
Trust me, it doesn’t I had read the book first, too. Listening too it only added to my love of the book.
I loved The Nightingale (historical fiction) and the audiobook was amazing. Also loved Bird Box on audiobook.

The Last Kingdom
Beneath a Scarlett Sky
