Dead zone by Stephen King is cool on the paranormal and fantasy front…and how about bonfires of the vanities by Tom wolfe for historical fiction..not really historical but it is set in the 80s and deals somewhat with 80s nyc finance and wall street and also relates a lot to today’s world especially with the black lives matter stuff
