Nah…I am about 50% done. Reading few others so progress is slow. But thanks for sharing your experience @Dawn. No different here. I am enjoying it more than HOT.
Hey .. if you were to choose, what will u read next between Kane Chronicles (Riordan) and Origin ( Dan Brown) ??? I can’t decide here… Your opinion might help me.. 😉 😉 😉
I have never been much of a Dan Brown fan (specially, Robert Langdon books never worked for me…my only favorite Dan Brown is Digital Fortress) and since I am a Fantasy/Mythology-mash-up fan, definitely Kane Chronicles. I liked Carters. They were annoying at times, but then they taught me so much about Egyptian culture and mythology. ?
I have parked Origin for EOY. I have so much to read in between. Reading The Muse right now. Hope to finish it this afternoon as I plan to return to Magnus Chase late this evening.
Haha! Okay!!! I have read The Red Pyramid months ago and really, i lost interest reading the next one… but now i have a copy of the 3 crossover books of Kane and Percy so if i want to read that i must first finish boooks 2 & 3 of K.C . I looks like my mind find it hard To process egyptian myth than greek/roman and norse …
Happened with me too, but finding new things about Egyptian mythology kept me going. Definitely not as good or popular among Riordan fans as Percy Jackson and its branch-offs or Magnus Chase. At many points the books become a drag. Even Trials of Apollo series didn’t work for me much.
?Same here. While Greek/Roman/Norse mythologies worked so naturally for me (having been an ardent reader of the same since childhood), it took me a while to get used to comparatively lack-lustre (for lack of a milder expression at my disposal) world of Egyptian mythology.
With regards to Trials of Apollo, it is not as action packed as PJ books or as interesting as Magnus Chase books but for me it is an Okay book… I think you might Agree with me that Apollo is so annoying most of the times and so full of himself ( hope he would’nt shoot me with his arrows) but what kept me reading with his books is that betweuen Apollo’s misadventures,Riordan seems to tell what become of the other heroes such as Percy Leo & Calypso etc….
True that…true that! ? To be honest, second book of TOA is still lying unread on my shelf. I have been too engrossed with Discworld these past few months. May try to pick it up some time after I am done with at least 3 of the 8 I have currently going. The Muse is developing into a page-turner steadily.
Meddling Kids, Quest For The Secret Keeper, and Unbecoming
🙂 Reading Magus Chase and THE SHIP OF THE DEAD!
Me too!!! 😉
AWESOME! ?
Have u finished it already? I did!!! Much better than hammer of thor for me…. 😉

I liked the cross-over stories too, especially Annabeth/Sadie mash-up.
Okay!!! Now you had me at “especially Annabeth/Sadie mash-up” …Dan Brown can wait a little longer… Kane Chronicles it is….
