I just finished The Cursed Child…. pretty disappointed. What is everyone else’s opinion on it?

It was hard to get into. I was not in love but now I want more Harry Potter.
ugh, right? honestly, it just didn’t feel like j.k. rowling… i’m thinking of going back & re-reading the series again!
I’m not even halfway through. It’s so hard to follow in the way it’s written.
agreed! although, fantastic beats is a script also but was much much easier to follow. other than that, how are you liking it?
I didn’t mind that it was written like a script but I did not enjoy the story. I felt like we needed closure! And we were let down.
I felt like I was reading fan fiction !
yes! 100% agree.
It could have been a lot better, it was just too predictable..
I went into it upset that it wasn’t a real book written by JK alone, so I was a bit prejudiced. I too was disappointed, thought I hear the play is great.
I enjoyed it for what it was; however, if you were expecting an eighth installment of our wonderful saga you would be understandably disappointed.
Was disappointed stopped reading it half way thru
I stopped and picked it up a few weeks later.
I give you credit I couldn’t even try twice
Same, I stopped then had to go back to it.
Give you credit as well was very disappointed in it
I was desperate I had nothing else to read that I hadn’t already read and no time to get to the library.
I think the play format really threw me off and it was very hard to get into. I didn’t feel as connected to the characters as I had with all the other books
