A lot of Nora Roberts’ standalone books are mystery-based…I really like a ton of hers…so you could always take a look at anything else by her. The Search, The Collector, The Villa, The Obsession, etc. 🙂
I think what I like about her is she often has so much detail about professions and places so that the stories seem different even if elements are similar. She’s got one about the Smoke Jumpers our west that jump from planes to fight fires, The Search involves training dogs for search teams, etc. I don’t know which element of Come Sundown you liked ?

Most all of her books are good! Some of my favorites were (1) Liar (2) Public Secrets (3) Angels Fall and (4) Carolina Moon. Other favorite authors are Diana Chamberlain, Irene Hannon, Chevy Stevens and Lisa Scottoline
