I loved it. I got all four as the authors books. 2 down- Ove and my grandmother said to tell you she’s sorry, were both good. Still have Beartown and Brittmarie was here in my tbr
I found it depressingly sad. I also struggled a lot with the first three quarters of it because of that. Finished it and put it out. Not on my re-read list I’m afraid. Some people have a tragic life and I don’t want to read about it!
It was okay. I couldn’t get past the fact that he was written like a cranky old man in his late 70’s, but the author made him 58!! It has its moments though. I don’t regret reading it.
I had to make a special trip back to a charity shop to get this they had it in the window I decided not to get it then regretted it as I had heard good things about it. I haven’t read it yet.
No I did too. Read something more cheerful then finished it. Mainly because of everyone on here saying how wonderful it was. Well written, yes. Great story….debatable. Funny….yes when its not being totally utterly depressing…
Don’t fancy it personally, it was on a Kindle Daily Deal the other day ?
Brilliant.
I liked it. I may be in the minority though.
It is a great read. He is a prickly character who you can’t help to love. A reluctant “hero”
The same authors other reads are also really good.
Loved it
It’s wonderful
It is , thought it wouldn’t be my kind of book but it was great
Loved it

I felt that the film left out many of the good bits.
Fab book great read heart warming

It was ok, I didn’t love it as much as most people seem to

Loved it
I’m about to start it and I’m so excited to read!
Ove reminds me of the British character Victor Meldrew from One Foot in the Grave. I personally loved the book.
That’s how I explained it to my husband when I made him read it.
Yes! It’s worth your time and a very fast, easy read.
Loved it❤️
That’s true, it is excellent.
Loved it

My grandmother is my favourite (yes, even beats Ove!) Really enjoyed Britt Marie, but haven’t read Beartown.. enjoy!
I liked the book but at times I wanted to kick him in the butt to get him to move on.
A fast and easy read, it made me laugh out loud and sob uncontrollably. How can you not love a book like that?
It’s amazing. Read it!

I thought that Carolyn! I’m older than 58 but hope I don’t come across like that! ?
That was really strange to me too
Glad I read it also. Liked it.

He is becoming one of my favorite authors. I led Ove in local book club and all agreed great book. Beartown was wonderful.
I got a little over a chapter into it before I quit. I’m going to read it later.
I loved this book and the other books by the author.
I loved it!
Wonderful!
I just read it. I enjoyed it very much.
I tried a couple of times and just couldn’t get into it.
I hear it’s really sweet. I tried to listen to it on audible and couldn’t get into the narrator at all! But that’s just me! ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Once you get into it…I put it down so many times but gave it one final time and got the hype! Worth it!
I feel like I’m the only person ever who half way through got so bored I put it down.
No I did too. Read something more cheerful then finished it. Mainly because of everyone on here saying how wonderful it was. Well written, yes. Great story….debatable. Funny….yes when its not being totally utterly depressing…
