I read it when it first came out in 2012. It was just ok then but has seemed to pick up a following as of late.

@Phyllis, just like Ove there are VERY mixed reviews on it. I was curious about it and did finish it (it did get better in the end) but I have a lot better books in my TBR pile.
i was very curious too not my normal genre and thought I would hate it but I didnt.

It was great! An awkward character you can’t help but fall for and as you do, you explore the wonderful and painful aspects of human beings. You will laugh and cry, but he isn’t immediately likeable.
