LOL!!! For Whatever!!! Reason!!! I Will Finish!!! I Was Reading Winters Tale—-Hated It Hated It!!! Even Told My Teenage Age Daughter To Hide It!!! She Did!!! Then I “ Forced” Her—-To Give Me Clues, To Find It!!! LOL!!! So Weird, Am I!!! LOL!!!
I feel like the author took a major leap when he decided to go with that format…it was very difficult even for an experienced reader like myself to grasp…but, I think the story had a deeper meaning beyond the words. It has stuck with me. I’ve seen some people on other posts say that for them it really helped to listen to the audio version of the book to fully grasp what was being said.
Yes. It took me quite a while to get used to the unusual format and style, but it did come and I’m glad I finished.
Does it click? I was so lost most of the time…

No
No…it only gets worse, I can never get those hours back…

It was a very different read for me, but I couldn’t stop thinking about it. It’s greater than the sum of it’s parts.
Totally agree
I liked it very much. I agree it is different but was glad I stayed with it.

I was so disappointed in this book. Got used to the format & was ok with it, but the story never came together. Worst book I’ve read in a long time!
I tried to read it, but quit. Not for me.
I quit.
had trouble starting it–but love his short stories

I couldn’t get through it.

I had to abandon it. I may go back and try to finish it, but then again maybe not.
I listened to it and loved it. Very different and creative.
I tried to follow the audiobook but it was nearly impossible.
I stopped reading it too. Just couldn’t get interested in it which was sad because I know several people who recommended it.
Me too ?
