I’d recommend Slaughterhouse Five as an introduction to Vonnegut, as he was actually a POW in Germany and went through the events described, unless you really hate war stuff. I’m not a big fan in general of war books or movies, but this one was really good.
@Janet I’m only about 30 pages I’m so I think I’m just getting used to it but I really hope I like it!! I will let you know in the next couple days when I finished it
Love him, love his wit too. I will be sitting on the couch reading one of his books and it is all quiet and my roommate will be across the room and all of a sudden I will start laughing so hard. I personally love him.
I love him. He was a funny, witty, satirical philosopher with a wild and quirky imagination. Reading him is always entertaining. He has made me cry and laugh out loud. He is the author I most frequently reread.
One of the greatest American writers.
I enjoy his work. He can be hilarious and heartbreaking in the same scene.
I have just started reading his book and I think his writing style is amusing
One of the greats.
I struggled through Player Piano but I will try another one of his books.

Just started reading slaughter house 5 and I’m digging it. I love the way he writes.
So it goes 😉
I read Slaughterhouse Five and I actually liked it, he’s not for everybody though, but I loved his satiric wit.

I also love him, because he may use science fiction, but the books are talking about what is wrong with America and society today. Just say’n.
It’s a cool ship.
Not for me.

Brilliant! ?
Read him in high school, and was majorly lost
Read most of his books years ago. Loved his quirky satirical style but I don’t think he suits everyone’s taste.
Cat’s Cradle, Slaughterhouse Five, and Sirens of Titan are all great.
A remarkable writer
