This was one of my problems with it. It didn’t present the Upside in regards to Molly. It was all whine and obsess over being single and alone until she was magically fixed by a guy. I also didn’t like how it made it seem like the only thing that was important about having a boyfriend was the ability to have sex. Really, it just seemed like sex and hooking up was the main focus of pretty much all the teens in the book. Just my opinion.
But she did deal with rejection when it came to hipster boy. However they didn’t really have to draw out the crappiness of rejection because she already basically knew she wanted Reid and wasn’t into Will like she thought she’d be. (Will? mike? I can’t remember hipster’s name)
It was Will lol and I dont think she truly went through rejection with him because she was never really emotionally invested to get rejected Like she like him and he was cute but it was more of a mutual we don’t want this
I think she explains the meaning in the book. That the upside of unrequited love is that you wait forever but once you finally fall for someone who has mutual feelings, it’s a magical feeling or something. I don’t remember her exact words, but I remember thinking “oh, I guess that’s what the title means.” Lol

The only upside I saw was that she had never had to deal with rejection

I can’t remember his name because he was boring. Team Reid all the way.

It was towards the end of the book.
That actually makes great sense
I dont see how I didnt see that before
Never mind, it was Nadine who said it. But this is when I was like “oh! That’s what it means” lol
Okay, that part was super sweet. I don’t know. Something about the way it got to that point rubbed me wrong.
