This one is pretty old, it’s by Pearl S. Buck. The name of the book is Imperial Woman. It’s about the last Empress of China. Gives a look into the dialy life of a woman who goes from concubine to Empress and also the view of the changing relationship between China and Britain. I’ve read it tons of times.
Memoirs Of A Geisha by Arthur Golden for sure! I read it over 20 years ago and it’s still my favorite book and I still remember everything about that story! I have tried Amy Tan and Lisa See but didn’t like their writing as much although many do.
To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before by Jenny Han, I Believe In A Thing Called Love by Maurene Goo, Red Scarf Girl by Jili Jiang, Warcross by Marie Lu, and Geisha of Gion by Mineko Iwasaki.
Anything by Amy Tan or Lisa See.
