Mysteries and thrillers are my go to, but my all-time favorites are literary fiction that leaves me in awe of such beautiful prose and/or fascinating storylines like Sophie’s Choice.
Historical fiction. WWII is my absolute favorite. I also read classics and occasionally chic lit. One of my favorite books was A Man Called Ove. I guess it’s general fiction.
Romance. Contemporary. Romantic Suspense. Historical Romance. Sweet/Christian Romance. Basically any Romance genre with the exception of paranormal/fantasy. Also like women’s fiction
I love Urban Fantasy. It has the most calming effect on my nerves for some reason. I think maybe I am harboring a repressed fantasy that there are heroes living among us that we don’t see and they will take care of the bad we don’t really see for how bad it truly is.
My ultimate favourite is a combined mix of sci-fi, action and romance all based in a similar yet altered world to ours- basically like Divergent, Matefinder by Leia Stone or The Institute by Kayla Howarth in terms of how it was created
