hyperbole and a half by allie brosh ( part of the book is not funny, ( but it is very interesting) but part is hysterical), and lets pretend this never happened by jenny lawson..
I agree with Laura! I’ll never forget reading one of the Hitchhikers books on a train and laughing so hard I had to put the book away. Embarrassingly though, I kept on laughing and people who got on afterwards were looking at me like I was nuts – eventually the guy sitting next to me starting laughing too! I also recall that The Wimbledon Trilogy by Nigel Williams was very funny. If you like Alan Partridge, We Need to Talk About Alan had my husband in fits – I’ve read bits of it and it seems hilarious. People have mentioned Tom Sharpe and he’s also very funny – Robert Rankin too: The Sprouts of Wrath series is incredibly amusing.
Woody Allen’s Complete Prose. It was laugh out loud funny but I think you’d need to be a big Woody fan and understand his sense of humour to appreciate it.
it really did surprise me on so many levels – it is well worth a read https://www.amazon.co.uk/The-Hollow-Chocolate-Bunnies-Apocalypse/dp/0575085436
