I have seen some without copyright/publication dates, but they’ve used a dating system for aaaages, often if a book doesn’t have one, it’s older than 1800s. But not always.
I’ve noticed some old paperback reprints (from the 40s, 60s) are missing information like that, BUT they still usually have publisher information either way.
Yes there are some very low released books that will have none, also some children’s books are without one. Some of the older books I have are without one also. Then I must go online and determine the date by the publishing company or other sources to find a date of release.

Sometimes if it at least has the publisher, you can find out publication dates by looking up the publisher.

yes, esp in older books. Sometimes they put it at the back as well
