It’s so good! First episode was a little slow but it picks up and it’s just like the book from what I remember. I loved the book and the actors do a really good job.
Mixed feelings. I thought about quitting it, but didn’t, so I guess that says something. I haven’t read the book, probably won’t after watching. I usually have a very high tolerance for dark and gritty books and movies, but something about this one rubs me the wrong way, and I’ve mostly found myself irritated by it.
@Nadia, glad to hear I’m not alone in that response! I have #5 recorded but not watched, and it looks like 3 more not broadcast yet. My ambivalence has not motivated me to watch ahead ?
Oh dear! Maybe I should just bail now then…While I appreciate Amy Adams and Patricia Clarkson’s performances, the “is it a flashback or isn’t it” are one of the many things that make it seem so contrived to me!
I love it, Gillian Flynn is on her way to becoming one of my favorite authors. I just finished dark places a couple of weeks ago and I’ll read sharp objects as soon as the show is over.
Love it
I too live it but do very confused…I’ll figure it out lol
Yes. It’s amazing. Amy Adams is so good!!! It’s very true to the book, witch is one of my favorites!!!

It’s really good. Seems to be staying true to the book.
Amy Adams and Patricia Clarkson are fabulous! Sad story about Southern dysfunction and murder…. kept you absorbed!
I dont have the add on ??
It’s great. Very dark like the book
It’s ok.
What is it showing on?
HBO
@Nadia thanks!

Exactly the same here. Got so frustrated with it. Was going to quit but I think I just have one more episode to go so might as well.

Love gone girl too
I’m still reading the book but I have watched the first two episodes
I want to! Not until I finish the book
Not yet, trying to read the book first. Just got it from the library.
I’m watching now. I have the book but want to hold off until the show ends. I’ve never done that before.
I didn’t like the book or the tv adaptation.
I don’t think I’m gonna watch it. I listened to the audiobook and it jacked me up a little
I’ve only watched 3 episodes, need to get hbo and watch rest, they’re okay, but I think they are different from the book.
Liked the book. The series seems to be dragging on. I think if I hadn’t read the book I wouldn’t understand what was going on.
Exactly
Read the book, have no desire to watch it.
I’m enjoying the show. I haven’t read the book, so maybe thats a factor, but it’s awfully well done. Amy Adams is superb!
