I guess I do. I’m rather fascinated by the Russians after having lived so much of my life in The Cold War. Love Chekhov.

I’m listening to the audiobook – so far on Chapter 11 of 52. It’s a lot more interesting than I thought it would be.

I’ve read a lot of Russian authors, but was told that poetry doesn’t translate well, and my Russian isn’t good enough to appreciate Pushkin’s original. Tried some of Ahmatova’s shorter verse, but that was it.
