@Mary I think all Roald Dahl books are a bit dark and twisted, even the “kids” books. The movie versions of his books are definitely actually geared towards children but I think the books are great, even for adults.
@Mary and if you want some seriously dark and twisted stuff that makes you go ??, check out his adult short stories. Some of my favorites are “skin” and “man from the south”.
@Mariko I guess we all do-I buy books from Thriftbook. I got all 7 for $25-and it was free shipping, so I guess I can’t complain-like who would about books??
The Physick Book of Deliverance Dane is great. The Witch’s Daughter is wonderful too. Actually, anything by Paula Brackston is great. All books about witches, and stand-alone texts. She did just write a sequel to Witch’s Daughter, though.
The Physick Book of Deliverance Dane is pretty good by Katherine Howe.
Oh, I really liked this one.
Practical Magic
A Discovery of Witches
Witches of Eastwick
Practical Magic. The Rules of Magic
The Last Witchfinder by James Morrow
The Witch of Willow Hall, coming out in October, I believe
The Witching Hour by Anne Rice. Technically it’s part of a series, but honestly it’s better if you don’t read the rest of the books.
Loved that book!!!
The Witches by Roald Dahl. It’s a kids book but it’s awesome.
Is it written on a kid’s level? Wouldn’t be too silly for an adult?

@Mariko I’ll have to check them out then-Thank you very much for the info.
