Yes. I live near Santa Barbara, CA. Her stories are based in fictional Santa Teresa which is in reality Santa Barbara. Very familiar with some of the locations she mentions in her books, which just makes them that much more fun to read. ????
I have read all of her books and have them all. So very heartbreaking. The alphabet truly ended at Y when Sue passed. Definitely one of my favorite authors.
Yes – She passed away over a year ago, I thought I had lost a good friend — I enjoyed all her books, she did not live to write the last book “Z” — great books – love the main character Kinsey Millhone – she is a real kick! http://www.suegrafton.com/bookshelf.php
No – she writes in a different style – not the same personality as Janet Evanovich – Grafton writes in a style and time that has no technology — (i.e. cell phones or computers) she types her reports on a typewriter – she did that on purpose –
You most likely will be able to get them in large print from your library. Modern day female protagonist detective solves the unsolved, alphabetically.
