I love this genre, especially historical fiction time travel. I love Connie Willis’s books… Doomsday Book, To Say Nothing of the Dog. Also The Mirror, Kindred, and Time and Again are some of my faves.
@Beth – I am a HUGE Koontz fan. His characterization is so good that I often find myself wondering what the characters are doing long after I’ve finished the book!
This is my favourite genre and I’ll be noting all suggestions, thank you! Mine are Outlander; Time Travellers Wife; How to Stop Time; Kindred; St Mary’s series. I’ve got a few more I need to look up tomorrow ?
Outlander is my only experience in time travel fiction and I thought I would hate it but I’m hooked and on the last book, no. 8…and they are big hefty books
Ahh well only one book in the series is about time travel (they call it time walking) but the All Souls Trilogy by Deborah Harkness is EXCELLENT. The first is A Discovery of Witches, the second, with the time travel, is Shadow of Night, and the third is The Book of Life ? she’s got another new book coming out in September called Time’s Convert that will flip flop between past and present but more so because the main character is a vampire and not because they travel through time lol.
Outlander, Kindred, Paradox Bound, The Road to Alexander (the Tiime for Alexander series, of course!), the St Mary’s Series, Time Storm, Green Darkness.
I’ve loved many of those already mentioned. My latest time travel was a Western romance and it was very good. Come Home To Me (Second Chances Time Travel series 1/3) by Peggy L Henderson
Wrinkle in time & outlander series

The Diary of River Song.
Is this based on the Doctors River?
