I have a love/hate relationship with that Site! It’s awesome but I can’t stop buying books and I’m trying to reign it in a get through some of my current tbr before buying more.. I’m failing miserably and it’s mostly bookbubs fault!
I used it for a long time. Found some really wonderful new authors through it but then I changed my reading habits. I now tend to binge read authors and have found this sight and Goodreads to be a better source of finding new authors and books.
I get their daily emails and find heaps for free or $0.99. I have downloaded over 300 books since Christmas through it. Not often that it is the really well known authors but nice to have a free read. Every daily email has at least one that is free and some that are discounted.
Started off good with bookbub. Got many free books or some for 99p. But now they only seem to recommend to me YA or dystopian books which is not really my genre and they are increasingly £1.99 or more. Consequently I haven’t bought anything from them for a long while.
It’s just another marketing platform. Authors can pay to be featured on Bookbub or have their application accepted to be featured on Bookbub.

I originally signed up because they advertised free books. Now they rarely are free.
Still, better at .99 or 1.99 though
