The sane ones are! I work hard to help my fellow authors achieve their goals. But i had one Aspiering Author see me as competition and turned very toxic. She wouldnt give or offer any info when she learned something and thought what she did for promotion was unique to her and though i had done similar things in the past if i shared like she did, or cosplayed my character, tried writing an idea for a story in 1st person (like she does) she took it all personallt like i was trying to one up her. I was cluless and it was obviously never the case. But no matter. Shes crazy.
I went to a book event once with someone that my publisher thought would be a mentor. Ummmm. I realized within a matter of three minutes it wasn’t in the stars for us.
I hope not! There’s plenty of fans out there. Bums me out to think they would. Such a big audience to share?
True
From the authors I follow on social media they are all about supporting each other.
Thats great what a good world
My friend Stephanie in our book club is a big fan of crime fiction, and she says crime writers are very supportive of one another.
No idea about other genres, but I’d like to hope authors supported each other.
I don’t see it. So many tastes in just one reader.
Most authors I follow are very supportive of each other.

Fight me Liz ? That’s all I’m saying about the matter ?
@Emily bahahhahaa
Most of my author friends help promote each other. I’ve run into a handful that come across as if it’s a competition. So sad.
Ita so sad for those becauxe they only hurt themselves

@Mary glad you realized that so soon and hadn’t started a mentorship yet!
Most definitely 🙂
Lets see who can write the most words in 15 minutes… and go.
Lost every time 🙂
Shit.
