Can you recommend a YA fantasy book or series with passionate romance? Maybe with a prince, princess etc.? Anything really though.
Following for reccomendations
Are you looking for high fantasy or urban fantasy? Because I’ve got tons of recommendations for both and I don’t wanna flood your post ?
Same hahahha
? what’s the difference lol, flood away! I like there to be a great plot along with a intense romance, like steamy but not too smutty to where I cringe lol
The bargainer series, throne of glass, a court of thorns and roses, wintersong, the rose and the dagger (I’m a sucker for 1001 nights retellings), Fever series
An ember in the ashes
ToG and ACOTAR are in my top favorites
I also second TOG, ACOTAR, and Fever series!! Loved those too!
I’m trying to read as many books I can until KoA comes out, the wait is killing me!! ?
Fever just ❤️❤️ the ninth one will make you cry like a baby though. You’ve been warned
Urban fantasy is more set in our world that we know, and high fantasy is set in a world made up by the author.
The Lux series by Jennifer Armentrout
A Court of Thorns and Throne of Glass Roses by SJM
An Ember in the Ashes (although the romance is a slow burn and isn’t front and center, it’s a good one)
The Winner’s Curse trilogy
The Darkness/The Collectors/The Lightness Saga by Stacey Marie Brown (all separate series, but all related and intertwined).
The Shatter Me series by Tahereh Mafi
The Arcana Chronicles
The Sweet Evil series
TMI/TID/TDA
The Bargainer Series
The Touched Saga by Elisa S. Amore
Also, the first three aren’t that great in the Fever series. Stick with it though!
The Starcrossed trilogy by Josephine Angelini
I’m planning on starting winners curse soon. Oh! Read Roar! That book is amazing too
@Channing I prefer her trial by fire series so good
Of Poseidon trilogy
The Covenant series by J. Armentrout
I’m never gonna stop until you make me, lol.
@Channing hmm I think I like high fantasy more. & Wow!! Thank you!! Lol I’m gonna check out all of those!
Rhapsodic, the Bargainer series by Laura Thalassa
The Daughter of Smoke and Bone series. It’s kind of a fusion between urban and high fantasy. It’s a genre all of it own lol.
The Selection series. It’s kinda fluffy and not my cup of tea, but a lot of people love it.
I enjoyed the selection series lol, keep em coming ?
@Channing I need to read that, I just read Strange the Dreamer last month. It was really slow to start but picked up I’m still devastated
The Significance series by Shelly Crane
These Broken Stars trilogy
The Fallen series by Lauren Kate. Not my favorite, but I still suggest it to people because a lot of people loved it. As well as Hush Hush
Passengers by Alexandra Bracken is fun and not mentioned nearly as much as it should be.
White Hot Kiss and the Wicked series by J. Armentrout
Outlander? It’s not ya, but it’s about as passionate of a romance as you’re ever gonna get, lol.
The wicked series has me intrigued ?
@Rabia It’s super good, but I’m biased because I generally worship all things Jennifer Armentrout, lol.
Wow I love this thread!!! ❤️ falling kingdoms by Morgan Rhodes is amazing! Just completed last book this spring! Romance, magic, princes and princesses! ?
Cinder is great.!
Ember in the ashes!
Girl of fire and thorns! My fave!

Since you said ‘anything’ i have published a fantasy adventure comic book which is currently on sale for 1$
My current read, sooo good
I just read that last month! Po ??
I was a little let down by the other two though, the first is definitely the best
I just read this too! It was so good!
Wanted to add that I listened to the audiobook and it’s full cast, which was amazing! So if you like audiobooks too then this one is great!
@Joni I love Po ❤️
@Christie omg me too! The full cast was great! I wish they had kept it for the other two
@Christie I don’t listen to audiobooks but if it’s that good then I might with this one!
I just started about a month ago myself because I have a long commute now. They’ve really grown on me
@Dianne if you do, audible does a free trial where you get two free credits. Use it on that because it’s like $30 otherwise hahaha
@Joni ok, thank you!
@Dianne I was able to check out the audiobook from my library through an app so that’s a great free option if your library offers it. I don’t usually care for audiobooks but with the full cast it was so immersive I really loved it!
@Joni I agree. I was so disappointed to find out the other two were not full cast. I am still wanting to read them but I’m planning on reading the physical book rather than the audiobook for those.
Kingmaker Series by Amanda Bouchet. Fabulous romance and it’s a Greek based story line! Loved it!!
Rhapsodic by Laura thalassa, its new adult
The fever series….very.. ahem adulty ..mixed with throne of Glass pretty much
And there’s ten xD
The Fae Chronicles! Its good stuff.
Grey wolves by quinn Loftis
The Ruined trilogy by Amy Tintera , has a prince with an enemy turner love and awesome plot.
I loved those books!!! I can’t wait till the 3rd one, that’s exactly the kind of book I’m looking for lol
@Rabia the third one came out you should definitely snag it
Whaaatttt?! No way! Thanks you for the heads up lol.
@Rabia and another series it the Tainted Accords series, it’s super good!
Thank you. If you haven’t read the traitors kiss that’s a really good book, and the second ones great too.
@Rabia I’ll have to check it out, I haven’t read those
F
Frost blood series ??
I just finished night blood, I’m kinda sad it’s over lol
@Rabia i was too! I went in thinking there were 4 books instead of 3?
Mariah who is the author? <3
Elly Blake!
@Mariah is it confirmed that there won’t be a 4rth book?
The ending made me wonder ?
I think i saw on goodreads that she said that there wouldnt be a 4th book. 🙁
That sucks! I wanted to read more about Kai lol
I did too! I feel like that is how most books are. You always wanna read more!
<3
Miranda Honfleur’s Blade and Rose series is epic fantasy romance – its not YA as there are adult situations, but each book follows a different couple and together tell an overarching story.
I love it.. currently reading book 4….
Atenta
Moon chosen by p.c cast
I know you said YA but the Mercy Thompson series by Patricia Briggs is amazing. It’s considered adult but there’s not really a lot in the smut department. And Adam is probably the second best thing about the series because Mercy is the best lol (she’s just so relatable to me personally lol).
The first book is Moon Called I believe, I’ll go look to be sure
Ok went and checked and it is indeed called Moon Called lol
Sounds like something I’d read ? What’s it about?
About a coyote shifter (Mercy), getting dragged into all sorts of magical shenanigans. It has werewolves, fae, vampires, and more.
Ben debating starting this. Its a really long series is it worth it
I definitely think so!
Once you get into Mercy Thompson’s series, for the ultimate romance, read Alpha and Omega Series. It’s a spin off. And the love in that series is wonderful
Shiver trilogy

Nightshade series by Andrea Cremer
POISON PRINCESS
A Touch of Gold just came out! It’s about the cursed daughter of King Midas who has deadly gold powers and faces pirates and betrayers on her quest to retrieve her father’s stolen gold.
https://www.amazon.com/Touch-Gold-Annie-Sullivan/dp/0310766354
what about the romance?
@Nada There’s romance! But I don’t want to spoil too much!
Thank you?
I’m dying to read this ? Still no copy here in my local book store.
It’s great!
@Dianne Have you asked them to request it? Usually they can order it! Or, if you want a signed copy, I can tell you an indie store you can order one through.
It usually takes time in my place. I’m from a province here in the Philippines. So ?
@Dianne Oh, yeah, that probably will be a while then! Hopefully not too long!
I just bought this book from Amazon and I’m super excited for it. Sounds like a fun ride ❤️
@Channing Ahh! Yay! Happy reading!!!
@Annie I’d be interested in a signed copy? A shop just sells signed copies for you?
@Adreanna Yes! It’s my local independent bookstore called Kids Ink located in Indianapolis. You just give them a call saying you want a signed copy, and they’ll ship it out to you!
Ohh. I will have to call and get one! Trying to get it read before your talk!! 🙂 Thanks for sharing!!!
@Adreanna Awesome! And here’s there phone number: 317-255-2598
I just ordered!!! Can’t wait 🙂
They ordered for it to get personalized so I took advantage of that too! ☺
@Adreanna YAY!!!

Seven realm series
Air awakens series by Elise kova
The Black Mage by Rachel e Carter
Air Awakens by Elise Kova
What is the black mage about?
@Rabia It is about a girl named Ryiah who goes to an academy almost full of highborns (there are lowborns as well but only about a quarter) to learn magic. The academy has extreme training and only 15 apprentices are chosen, five from each faction (alchemy, restoration and combat). She as all other low borns is believed to drop out early. She is fighting /training for combat, the most prestigious faction which also contains the king’s second born, non-heir as he is known, Darren and due to bad first meeting /impressions is determined that she does not succeed and not to forget he is a prodigy and devoted to magic. It follows Ryiah’s fight for the apprenticeship, their hatred, their erratic rapport, how the non heir helps her and their amazing story continues. Sorry it was so long.
Here’s the synopsis. There’s a beautiful love story though you need to be patient through the first 2 books since real action and plot twists start from then on.
@Rabia Believe me you’ll love it. Atleast I hope you do. Just give it a chance. ?
I just started reading it, sounds amazing!!!
Throne of Glass by Sarah J. Maas
Vampire Academy or Bloodlines by Richell Mead
Throne of glass series, Finnikin of the rock series, iron fey series, Entwined, the selection series, Graceling series.
Ruined Series by Amy Tintera
I would recommend The kiss of Deception or The Winners Curse trilogy (not really a princess but still really good!)
Following
The throne of glass series. Selection series.
the lunar chronicles has a whole range of passionate relationships. They’re necessarily steamy, but you can feel the love and trust oozing off the pages!
There’s a short story anthology called My True Love Gave to Me. I’ll admit, I haven’t finished it (because it takes me forever to finish anthologies) BUT the stories I did read were amazing. It’s not all fantasy, but even the contemporary stories were worth reading.
Fffff
No princess or prince but fates fables is kinda sorta leads to it

I would recommend the Infernal Devices, the Mortal Instruments, and the Daniel X series.
TID isn’t a passionate relationship at all lol! It’s the most annoying, badly written love triangle out there ???.
@Hannah I respect your opinion but the comment is about what I would recommend to read. You may not like the series but that doesn’t mean that someone else won’t.
I’m just saying that TID didn’t have a passionate relationship because it didn’t.
I think that it depends on the idea or opinion of the reader.
I don’t know how anyone could possibly call that relationship “passionate”.
@Hannah We can agree to disagree then.
@Jennifer I love Infernal Devices and Tessa, Will, and Jem’s relationships 😀 I love how much they each care for each other and Will and Jem never stopped being best friends and parabatai because of a girl, they just both loved Tessa 😀
@Lisa Thank you for saying that. I love the main characters and their relationships throughout the series.
It doesn’t have a prince or.princeas but I would highly recommend the Ruby Red trilogy by Kerstin Gier if you love romance, fantasy and time travel this novel series is for you.
agreed this series is fantastic
F
also try the Kingdom Saga by Megan Linski
What do you mean by passionate? (I’m not trying to be snarky.)
@Alisha lol like steamy romance but no full on smut ?? Lol I know it’s cheesy but I’m a sucker for those kind of books. For example, my favorite books with passionate romance would be the ACOTAR series.
@Rabia It’s not cheesy! Be proud of what you enjoy. ?Try @Miranda‘s books!
@Alisha lol thanks ? i was looking up one of her books today, i think it’s called blade & rose, have you read it?
@Rabia I haven’t but it’s on my Kindle!
@Alisha same here lol I plan on reading it after I finish the series I’m currently reading ?
Royally Matched by Emma chase series. Royal and Passionate, that I can assure you
Of Fire and Stars. It’s one of my favorites!
I like the Artifact Hunters Series by AW Exley. Not smutty but really yummy. 😀
@Laura thanks! I’ll check it out ?
