The Night Bird only came out about a month ago. It kept me hooked. A psychiatrist reluctantly teams up with a detective to piece together a series of mysterious deaths that are suspected serial killings.
It Takes One came out about a year ago. Kate isn’t very well-known yet, but her books are very good. We read it for our book club and everyone enjoyed it. It’s about a criminal psychologist who returns to her small hometown the night before her childhood friend is murdered. Nobody was able to 100% guess the ending. I had 3 plausible theories up until the last couple chapters.
The Kind Worth Killing by Peter Sawnson. I loved Lily so much, even though she said, “Everyone dies what’s wrong with pushing along a few bad apples. The world will be better without them.”
I have read Chevy Stevens. I have read those girls (my fav), never let me go, still missing, and the one where her dad is a serial killer (the name escapes me this morning). I love Chevy, I think I have a couple of Diane chamberlains and I have all of chevy’s.
Mr. Mercedes by Steven King Where They Found Her by Kimberly McCreight Reconstructing Amelia by Kimberly McCreight Bang (Black Lotus 1) by E.K. Blair Echo (Black Lotus 2) by E.K. Blair Hush (Black Lotus 3) by E.K. Blair All the Missing Girls by Megan Miranda Sharp Objects by Gillian Flynn In a Dark, Dark Wood by Ruth Ware Pretty Girls by Karin Slaughter
Ok, I’ll leave it at that. Haha I can go on forever.
I loved pretty girls! It’s one of my favorite books, I have quite a few on that list and was considering reading Ruth wares or all the missing girls very soon, so I will do that sooner than I expected!
Me too, very fast. I just wanted my normal Chevy read, one that grabs me and is brutal and intense from beginning until ending. I got an arc, I mean it was a decent book to read, but just not the normal Chevy Stevens brutal, intense, crazy ride’
Nope! Though after I read Dollmaker, I immediately went out and bought the first one 🙂 The focus characters are different but the world is the same, if that makes sense.

Be careful, the book is much scarier than the movie 😉
Good, because I didn’t think the movie was scary! 🙂
It wasn’t for me either but the book I had to pause reading at a certain point because it scared the living stuff out of me.
Gerald’s game scared the bejezuz out of me!
Maybe I’ll pick that up for when my life seems too calm!
Literally had to turn on the light, was too real, and scared me like no other book has.
Loved it!

Good list.Angel
Just finished Never Let You Go by Chevy Stevens and I was kind of disappointed in it. It was what I call an ok book.
I was the same, it never got to that Chevy I know, instead it seemed to draw back right when I thought it would hit it!
I had it figured out before I was even half way through.
Me too, very fast. I just wanted my normal Chevy read, one that grabs me and is brutal and intense from beginning until ending. I got an arc, I mean it was a decent book to read, but just not the normal Chevy Stevens brutal, intense, crazy ride’
Just read The Dollmaker by Mary Burton and loved it!!!
Did you read the first book of the series first?
Nope! Though after I read Dollmaker, I immediately went out and bought the first one 🙂 The focus characters are different but the world is the same, if that makes sense.
