Anyone have a recommendation for books with a “sister” theme?

Curtis Sittenfeld has one called Sisterland (I think). Wonderful book, although no history). You probably already know about The Other Boleyn girl, I’m assuming.
Thank you! I have read The Other Boleyn Girl (and loved it)… will check out Sittenfeld.
Secrets of a Charmed Life… trying to remember the author. Set in WWII London. Centers on two sisters. It was excellent!
Sounds perfect… thanks Brynn!!!

As Bright As Heaven by Susan Meissner. Really good! And it’s historical fiction! ?
The Invention of Wings by Sue Monk Kidd!
Loved this one!!
This is perfect. Sisters, history and important theme!!
The Nightingale by Kristen Hannah.
The Secret Life of Bees by Sue Monk Kidd also. The Distance Between Us by Maggie O’Farrell (although not historical), After You’d Gone and Instructions For A Heatwave by Maggie O’Farrell are also excellent though are more about family relationships and contemporary and 1970’s based respectively. Philippa Gregory also wrote Three Sisters Three Queens. Little Women by Louisa May Allcott is maybe too obvious, The Miniaturist by Jessie Burton features a sister-in-law relationship.
Great list! I’ve read some but not all… thank you!
You’re welcome!

Before We Were Yours by Lisa Wingate (Note: This book might be a tough read becasue it deals with children kidnapped and sold to wealthy families through orphanages but it’s totally worth the read. I’m not a historical fiction fan and I usually stay away from heavy topics but I really enjoyed it.)
