Flying Out With the Wounded by Anne Caston. It is an amazing book. The poems are heartbreaking, but beautiful. I don’t know anyone else who has read it, and that makes me sad.
The penguin book of Irish verse? Leaves of grass by Walt Whitman, the Poetical Works of Longfellow, and my two favorites: the gospel in our image: an anthology of twentieth century poetry based on biblical texts, and the Complete Collected Poems of Maya Angelou. To name a few <3
Nikita Gill is my absolute favorite. Her writings just call to me. Amanda Lovelace (the princess saves herself in this one) and her husband Cyrus Parker (Dropkick Romance) both have great books. R.H. Sin is also a great writer.
How to Read a Poem: And Fall in Love with Poetry by Edward Hirsch…E E Cummings: Complete Poems 1904-1962…Selected Poems by William Carlos Williams…The Seashell Anthology of Great Poetry …The Complete Poems of Emily Dickinson…The Motorcycle Betrayal Poems by Diane Wakoski…Waiting for the King of Spain by Diane Wakoski…look for works by Robert Frost, Billy Collins, Nikki Giovanni, James Dickey, Gwendolyn Brooks, W S Merwin, Louise Gluck…
Solo by Kwame Alexander…it depends on your style actually.
I have that… I like that actually ❤️❤️
@Zaema there’s another one by Rupi Kaur. But I preferred Kwame Alexander. If you like poetry by Atticus, try Love her Wild.
I have milk and honey and sun and her flowers by Rupi… I will try love her wild
The collected works of Theodore Rothke
