I like Jane Fonda. She has done a lot of good throughout her life. She was anti war but she has that right. Much else is lies. 24 yr veteran. The movie looks a bit cliched but they all look great.
Please. I really dislike these vehicles aimed at women of a certain age. I’ve seen them before and all have made me squirm with the wink wink jokes, and cheesy comedy. The trailers for this have confirmed my suspicions about this one. Sorry to see these fine actresses on this level.
I agree. I was hoping someone else would see it and let us know how it is. Probably something I would watch at home when it comes out. Usually the only things I go to the big screen for are action movies
Just came home from it, never laughed so hard at a movie before! Whether you’re a fan of any of the ladies or not, you still will laugh. I enjoyed it, it’s especially funny for the 50 and over crowd!
My whole book club is going and then out to dinner, to discuss it. Had no desire to read “the book”, and am not that fond of Fonda, but seems like a fun chick flick for women of a “certain age” and I’m one of them. PG 13 can’t be too bad
Saw it today! Wait till DVD/Cable. It’s cute and has some funny parts but I wasn’t feeling Jane Fonda’s part/story line. Candace Bergen never disappoints!
I was in a snit bc they picked such an awful book but then I realized it’s comedy. Lighten up girl. I love all those women and am happy to see a fun movie.
Just left the movie. I thought it was hilarious. Me and my bestie went with her mom. We were the youngest ones in the theater but it was great! For all the folks who dont want to see it because of the book, honestly that is silly. They just choose it to put excitement in their lives. It’s got little to do with the movie.
I saw it last night and really enjoyed it. I am single and 60 so I could relate. Laughed out loud several times. It’s not really about the book, but about friendship and being there for each other.
I’m going today!
Whats it about
Let us know how it goes cause the reviews are not exactly great
Sorry… not a fan of the book nor of Jane Fonda!
I agree on this, too!
Will not see it due to Janet Fonda.
I’m with you all. I wouldn’t spit on Jane Fonda if she was on fire!
I like her. She’s a great actress.
Refuse to go because of Jane Fonda as well. #takeastand

Me too, I do not want to see her.
@Viola yes she is a wonderful actress. I’ll watch just about anything she’s in!
Maybe I’ll watch it on DVD…
Who wrote the book
Absolutely!!!!!

To me, it’s a “pay the bills and get some publicity at the same time movie”. What a waste of talent.
My book club is going on Monday. However the Boston Globe gave it one star and a scathing review. Oh well. Well still have a good time regardless.
Nope. When I saw they were using “Fifty Shades of Gray,” I got disgusted.
I have tickets for tomorrow morning
I’m at the theatre now!
Yes!!!!
Saw it this afternoon. Funny dialogue between the 4 women.
Just came home from it, never laughed so hard at a movie before! Whether you’re a fan of any of the ladies or not, you still will laugh. I enjoyed it, it’s especially funny for the 50 and over crowd!
Agreed on all points!
Oh yes.
the one about the older ladies and fifty shades of grey, etc? I really want to see it!!! i saw a preview of it and i was so excited lol
I’d love to, except for one actress.
?…I haven’t liked what I’ve seen of the Jane Fonda character.
Looks like fun!
Didn’t like characters in trailer

Me too!
Might see it when it comes out on HBO (or one of those movie stations). It just like Sex and the City: 30 Years Later. So I’ll wait for a it.
Saw it today! Wait till DVD/Cable. It’s cute and has some funny parts but I wasn’t feeling Jane Fonda’s part/story line. Candace Bergen never disappoints!
I’m actually really excited to see her back in Murphy Brown, this fall.
@Leah me too!
No doubt
Yup
I saw a prescreening of it. The movie was very cute especially if you like those actresses. It was a feel-good movie.
No thanks. Just another movie making fun of older people.
I didn’t feel like it made fun of older people at all.
I want to
Yes. My local book club is going!
Excited to see it!
Tonight with my local book club ?
Anyone in NYC would like to meet up and watch it together?
yes
Absolutely!
Movie Date! It’s no into the woods…
@Cathy , let’s hope not!!
I will absolutely see that movie!
Yes
Can’t, cuz we have a book club meeting tonight!
Yes, taking my mom next week.
Hopefully Saturday night
I was in a snit bc they picked such an awful book but then I realized it’s comedy. Lighten up girl. I love all those women and am happy to see a fun movie.
Ours is going also Lisa…let me know
Yes!!!
We should go as a book club!!
Saw it today. Cute and fun.
Tomorrow – with my book group 🙂
Too bad about the book they chose. Disappointing. I’ll wait for DVD.
It has little to do with the book, it’s the relation ship between the women and each of their stories. The boom is just a jumping off point.
Good to hear!
I want to.
Yes, looking forward to it
No dislike the actresses
On Tuesday! Great actors!
Yassss, I’m waiting till Tuesday to watch it. It’s cheap day Tuesdays for $5 lol
My local book club is going Fri night 5/25–really looking forward to it!
Pretty sure the book they chose I’d an excuse for the movie. They are surfing on the hype of it and making a comedy out of it! 😉
I was all hyped up about the movie until I gathered in a trailer which book they’re highlighting. Uh – no. ?
I saw it last night-it was funny! I love the 4 ladies in this movie they were wonderful! Very funny!
yes!
Would – not – miss …the 3 characters together Playing themselves ( sort of…) who are like me. Women of a certain age.
I was invited today to go Sunday! I accepted!
I can’t wait!
yes!!!
I plan to. I love all these actresses
Didnt know about this movie
Oh… I’ll have to have a look at it. 🙂
It was pretty good 🙂
Oh yea
Just got home. It’s cute.
Just left the movie. I thought it was hilarious. Me and my bestie went with her mom. We were the youngest ones in the theater but it was great! Yep. Some of our book club are going on Tuesday. Should be fun
Yes
Saw it today. Was good. Lot of good actress’s and actors. I’m a long time Don Johnson fan.
Going tomorrow, need some good laughs.???
Yes
What’s everyone think? Worth a watch?
So far, it’s mostly positive
Yes! Nicely done.
Yes. I’m thinking about going again.
Maybe
I saw it yesterday after work. I liked it.
Saw it! Cute!!
It was cute. Quite a few “laugh out loud” moments.
I saw it last night and really enjoyed it. I am single and 60 so I could relate. Laughed out loud several times. It’s not really about the book, but about friendship and being there for each other.
Going with my mom on Sunday
Going next week with my book club.
Going next week. Houston Chronicle gave it rave reviews.
Saw it. Great chick flick, full of laughs
No cause I refuse to watch anything Hanoi Jane is in.??
Good to hear from someone who’s never made a mistake.
@Bonnie My mistake was losing several friends in Vietnam.??
I also lost several friends in Vietnam Nam but I’ve been lucky enough that the terrible mistakes I’ve made in life are not on video.
@Bonnie Sorry it was an emotional response?
@Michael your response is understandable. Maybe it’s time to forgive her?
Rather see “Deadpool”
Saw it Thursday. Great movie.
Going tomorrow! 🙂
Yes!!
Yes I’m taking my mom tomorrow
That would be me lol
Just saw it with a couple of my book club buddies. Good chick flick.
Really funny movie. Was surprised!
Going with my “book club” friends ! : )
I saw it Sunday with my mom. I laughed so much. I was the youngest in the theater though. I went to a 2pm. Movie was sold out till 7 pm
